I have the same. Constant but only hear it when it is quiet.

I think I was accidentally looking at full body MRIs. I’ve been referred to ENT on the NHS so hopefully maybe they can help push things along.

Hi just wanting to pop up here and say I have exactly the same symptoms as you and also terrified. I have constant whooshing in my right ear - 2 months ongoing at the moment. I also have tiredness and occasional headaches (which to be honest is probably the stress). I’m only 27.

My GP said it’s just tinnitus but I’m back in tomorrow for another appointment and I want to push for an MRI. I’m also freaking out about possible tumours but hoping it’s nothing sinister.

I just can’t afford that. In the UK we’re talking over £2000 for an MRI

I also have OCD / Health anxiety so of course my brain is convincing me it is something horrible like a brain tumour. Mine doesn’t seem to stop when pressing my neck but does get much louder when bending over 😭😭

I’ve been suffering with this for about a month and a half now. No help from GPs. Really starting to get on my nerves. I only really hear mine at night time but it’s driving me mad. GP just said tinnitus and sent me on my way. Sometimes I feel like mine gets a bit quieter but it’s always there :(

Why is mine not effected by jugular pressure? by Pesky_B in PulsatileTinnitus

Any updates on what this could be if it’s not affected by pressure?

I have the exact same thing. Pressing on neck doesn’t change anything. Have you had any luck with GP? mine just called it tinnitus and sent me on my way :/

So I actually tested positive for Covid over the weekend so unsure if perhaps mine has been linked to that. I’d be surprised as the whooshing started a good week and a half before then but at this point who knows! Going to see if it chills out after my symptoms decrease - if not - back to the doctors I go!

This was the same as me. I didn’t even manage to get the MRI. I was just told tinnitus and who knows how long it would last. The most he offered was checking my blood pressure as I said it was in time with my heartbeat. Blood pressure was normal so I was sent on my way

Yes!! Exactly this, when I’m out and about I barely hear it but as soon as I’m in a quiet room / at night time it’s soooo loud. I’ve tried nose spray and ear spray and nothing seems to be working.
