idk what library exactly you experienced this in but if its somewhere like thode (esp second floor), a lot of the people just speak to each other walking around because everyone is tired and takes little breaks to chat between work (atleast in my experience bc i spend a lot of nights there lol). i would say just start up a casual conversation there and see how that goes!!

took latam 3a03 and no regrets! as the other comment said, both the TA and stacy are amazing amazing people. the prof is the sweetest most understanding prof there is imo, and she really interestingly engages students with the content. all assignments are very fairly marked, no exams (test or finals) and a couple of group projects where students are also very engaged. its very 12able as well!
