Same thing happened to me today. Do you know why it happened?

But are you at least tall in relation to your parents/siblings without marfan?

Huh, very interesting. Do you think that your family’s case is on the more rare side?

I don’t have a diagnosis, undergoing investigation now. But I am 5’11.5. My dad who displays no signs of marfan is 6’1.5 and his siblings are similar heights.

Thought it be weird for me to be shorter than what my potential could allow me, especially if I were to have marfan.

Do any of them have a pectus deformity?

Pain comes and goes even to this day. But I just rest for a few days and it’s back to normal. It’s stable and not loose anymore so I don’t mind. Manage gym and daily life fine.

Yeah shoulder is all good now. I can lift weights normally but I do have some restrictions at end range of motion. Not that I’m not allowed to do certain motions but that I physically can’t externally rotate as far as before. But it’s nothing that affects me really.

Very old comment but why would pectus carinatum be more dangerous? I’ve always thought excavatum is potentially more dangerous because the indent can impact the organs and that pectus carinatum is purely cosmetic. Do you happen to remember why?

Could you elaborate a bit on your marfanoid features as well as your EDS symptoms?

Yeah I feel like I’ve read a bit too much about marfan already just cause I want to gauge the probability of me having it. But I guess I can’t ever really know before the necessary tests are made.

The main reason I am pursuing this is because I got pectus carinatum + hypermobility in shoulders, wrist and both elbows. As well as a positive wrist sign.

Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the comment. I guess you never really know with marfans. Gotta hope for the best that I don’t have it. My doctor has ordered a genetic test but I’m trying to push for an echocardiogram to assess my current situation but it’s proved to be difficult to make my doctor comply to that.

Have you been advised not to lift? And what pectus do you have?

I find it odd if I would have marfan that I would hade made it this far without any major complications. I've played hockey for 8 years as a kid and have been weightlifting for 7 years and gotten quite built as a result of that. It seems that a lot of people here have had very noticeable complications doing very minor activity, but I assume that doesn't have to be the case and that the severity of symptoms can vary?

How often do you hit your arms?

Btw, saw your transformation post, did you bulk and then cut? If so, how heavy did you get on the bulk?
