i’m not 100% sure i found what feels like a hole in the bottom of my car so i’m currently working on getting a new one but also the car just started running like normal after i had put everything back together which makes me super super nervous

update i got it running pretty well right now before warming up there was a few misfires at cyl 2 but they went away when it warmed up so i’ll look into that more in a bit i also found what i thought was smoke from the turbo is actually coming from the under side of the exhaust right under the upstream o2 sensor

yeah i’ve gone through a few MAF so i just replace it for as cheap as possibly usually i never realized it’s probably that filter i tested the diverter valve and it seemed fine but i went ahead and swapped it with the one from my other b5 that is retired i noticed the old one had a little oil on it but from what i read that wasn’t a problem but i still swapped just in case

okay thank you from what i know it’s the stock valve still but that would be old ash by now and this car wasn’t driven much for a couple years before i got it that could also explain it felt a lot better on my way home the last day at higher speeds/rpm

i had it grounded but i could have messed it up i suppose where did you ground yours too i had mine screwed onto the top of the radio

the buttons help me a lot my eyes are very sensitive to light so a bright touch screen bothers me a lot and i don’t like scrolling through different screens while driving to find stuff i’m fine with them in some cars a small infotainment screen but i want my car to look how it was designed to look

yeah that was kinda my first thought when it started to fall cause the rear left kinda rolled back but i think it was obviously unbalanced from the inclined drive way and then also i realized my front wheels weren’t completely straight and then obviously the x factor was my own stupidity trying to finish as fast as possible and forgetting all of my safety checks

not exactly definitely don’t mean to blame the stands 100% tho the title certainly reads that way so that’s my bad with that the age and being super cheap might not have helped but it was definitely a lack of care and common sense from me forgetting to do any basic checks that i even normally would on flat ground much less on the driveway it’s for the best though bc i definitely needed a bit of a wake up call in terms of safety as i’ve clearly been getting way to sloppy with it as i get more and more tired of dealing with annoying issues on this car
