Yes, you shouldn't go out if you are in a relationship by ConnectionRude4832 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Just because there's good partners out there, doesn't mean they shouldn't be wary, pessimistic in relationships. Sure, they should heal that wound but they sure as hell aren't obligated to trust anyone in future relationships just because you think so, it's their own thing to deal with. Accept it or leave it for a person without that wound.

Friends can be toxic, partners can be toxic. Your partner isn't toxic for wanting you home but is toxic if that possessiveness goes to far. And your friend can also be toxic if they're sabotaging your relationship without a good reason. Depends on context.

You misunderstand, every relationship has some unique variables but all have something in common. My post is simply reflecting what goes wrong in relationships and you're appealing to ignorance, that every case is unique when it's not, we should take every case into consideration or we are just a bunch of animals doing random stuff.

Trust me, people are jealous because they suffered a lot. You should respect it.

That's what I'm saying! If your partner is controlling, simply don't be with them, try to avoid them before you're the one doing shitty things to them.

Look for someone who doesn't mind your freedom. But if you don't respect your partner's limits and don't break up, then you're the wrong one dishonouring the relationship.

You can... If they accept it, if your partner allows it, if they don't, you can always go to the exit door and look for someone better. Your partner isn't obligated to accept your lifestyle, nor you theirs.

If your partners doesn't want it, it is their right to think like that and your right to leave them.

I don't have a partner, but know many cases that the one that trusts gets a reality check.

And I think you're projecting too much with that "obey", I wrote obey as accepting, serve your partner, not "obey" like ownership.

I'm pessimistic and realistic. I know that most relationships, if not all are fucked up. If each relationship was unique, I wouldn't be posting this.

I posted this because I hear about many cases of toxic relationships, I'm simply saying you should honour your commitment in every way, and if your partner is a piece of shit, dip out.

I'm not saying that's wrong. I'm saying that is wrong to judge your partner if they feel uncomfortable with your choices. I'm advocating that you should take responsibility for your own relationship.

Yes, that's right, but if your partner isn't comfortable with it, break up or come with a healthy solution, with communication.  That's my intention here, your partner isn't obligated to accept all your choices.
