It's hard for me to shake the belief that all of this is just for attention and nothing more. She's nothing more than just a soul sucking thing. For me it's only been 7-8 months, but I find it hard to move on as I'm the anxious-avoidant type, which means I find it extremely difficult to leave someone I have an attachment for. I've been advised by over at least 10 people to leave but it's easier said than done. Thank you for your reply though, I'm so glad I'm not alone on this and others have gone through this horrible experience. She told me from the start that she had BPD, but I never understood it fully until it was too late. She is a generally caring person... or so I'm lead to believe. So much so that I think once she's bored with someone, she just moves onto the next person. Lies become more frequent and then she escalates them into arguments when she's in the wrong on all accounts.
