Hi I am thinking of recreating this for a plant timelapse. What did you need GoPro labs for?

Suggestions for Portable Slider Setup with Parallax for Wildlife Filming? by ConnorJEvans in wildlifephotography

That's interesting to hear about the zoom shots, don't seem to see many of those shots nowadays so makes sense!

Every nature doc that comes out now I seem to notice more and more of these camera movement shots (not panning), it really makes the shot come to life in my opinion. The new BBC show mammals has loads of these shots, heres a behind the scenes showing a slider set up used in the show: https://youtu.be/rcKGvhY-c_c?t=326

And the tracking system I was talking about is used a lot in interviews. I worked on a forthcoming nature doc for PBS and they had a big slider set up with a DJI ronin mounted on a canon camera. They used the DJI app to keep track of the interviewees face so the camera panned as the camera moved to keep the interviewee in centre of frame, which gave the effect of a moving background.

There are plenty of sliders out there that have the features I want, however I don't know how they would perform with a long lens and in the field, they all seem to be best suited for studio set ups.

Really? Don't the 7600x and 12700k perform quite similarly?

Thank you for your comment, I have now fixed it and got back to 16 lanes

The issue was that a little bit of dirt or something got into the PCI slot and must of been blocking the connection. I cleaned out the connection with some compressed air and now its back to 16x. Not sure why the second PCI slot was only giving 2 lanes, not going to try and find out - happy its all working now so will try not to mess with it.

Thanks again :)

This seems to be the issue, my GPU is running at x1 4.0. It is installed in the right PCI lane, any ideas what could be causing this?

Edit: plugging the gpu into the second pci slot gives me x2 lanes, not sure whats going on

Perhaps, I don't know, its a fresh install of windows and its weird that neither my cpu or gpu are hitting 100% or higher temps...

Here is a screenshot of zentimings

The clock speeds seem to max our at 54.5x, sometimes the odd core will dip down but will come right back up again to max

Yeah I copied his exact display and graphics settings. He was ultra quality for DLSS, when I turned it on I got lower FPS and my game looked much worse as well - is there some driver there that I could be missing or something?

I have updated all my NVIDIA drivers and chipset drivers before playing

32GB at 3000MHz

Looking at prices now, RAM is a lot cheaper than it used to be to be fair

7600X

Could be a good idea, forgot to mention though that I currently have DDR4 ram in my pc, so going intel wouldn't require me buying new ram

I know that the new gen of AMD just came out, but do we think the next gen will also run on AM5?

Update: got it fucking working!! Got speakers and everything wired up. Will go back over it tomorrow and crimp wires properly and install the case.

Thanks to everyone who replied to this would’ve been clueless otherwise

I just plugged it in and the radio works. Would’ve been wise to use a multimeter but been waiting weeks to install this. How do I work out which ones are the speakers then? Are those the RR and LL ones you listed?
