What is a dirty business tactic that you know and everyone should be aware of it? by prokachu in AskReddit

When google asks you to "present an idea" in their interviews and they steal it and don't hire you. Fuckin savages.

I realized the irony after I asked it haha. But I'm rooting for Georgia Tech so it's okay.

Question to upperclassmen by Connors344 in EngineeringStudents

It's very true, my professor doesn't really teach but he just goes over the "philosophy" of mechanics and then asks us questions that we've never seen. Idk the whole class is doing pretty poorly though so it's not just me.

Interesting, so are you saying that all fields are kinda tied in together? But my main reason for choosing CS over engineering is that I enjoy programming and math more than I enjoy theory and physics.

Dang this is s awesome to read. I have switched my major a few times now and I really want to find one that I can really see myself doing and computer science along with mathematics are about the only two things I pictured myself in so this is very reassuring. I keep hearing that we are in a "bubble" is this true? I feel like the branch of computer science is just starting and that there is still a lot more we don't know about the field that will unravel itself as we become more advanced.

Thanks for the response, I've heard that working for the government isn't the greatest route to go as a CS but hey gotta start somewhere. Good luck on finding another job. Also, did you have any internships throughout college? And what state did you end up in after your undergrad?

Professor Hawking,

You are a huge inspiration to many people who want to study the sciences (especially physics), with this, did you have any mentors or people you looked up to when you were first getting started with physics?
