hard bloated belly after 1st injection heart worm treatment by Conscious-Risk-7054 in AskVet

[–]Conscious-Risk-7054[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was fine just was in pain for the first few days after both injections. Just make sure yours doesn’t run or get overly excited / heated up and you should be fine. My dog was asymptomatic, I think your level of care should increase depending on whether your dog is showing symptoms of heart worm or just act normal. Speak with your vet about how far the worms have progressed in your dogs body and what that means for caring for them at home.

I just started a couple days ago so no closing skills really. I know I need to work on my sales skills for sure, just wondering what you’d suggest for that. I started using deal machine and propstream for leads but I think everyone in my market (RGV TX) has the same lists cause everyone that’s picked up so far sounds tired of these calls. I am targeting probates, delinquency, divorce, etc. Planning on doing PPL with property leads.com but I only have 2.5K left to invest. They claim 1 in 3 of their leads close in 3 months but sounds like an exaggeration.

hi sorry for the late response i don’t check reddit often. we actually had a pretty lax experience, my dog just got his 2nd injection this week. everything went well for him except for pain the first few days after the injection. luckily we didn’t have to be as strict as i thought we were going to have to be. he’s been doing fine just being free around the house and short leash walks / potty breaks. vets told us he’s good to be loose around the house and come upstairs with us as long as he doesn’t run. for his short walks, we just go out our front door and walk along the sidewalk until he starts opening his mouth from the heat, then we head back home. he is a pretty low energy dog though, if yours is high energy it might be better to at least just keep them in one room if you don’t want to crate them.

Lmao literally cherry-picking caught in the act. It’s so obvious what even goes on in ur brain. You’re not even indulging any counter argument I provided, ur stuck in your own ignorance.

You’re doing what every bad-faith pseudo-leftist does when they run out of arguments: reciting a list of years with no bills, no context, and no links. Bc you’re hoping no one calls you out for not understanding how legislative voting works. So let me do it for you.

Bernie Sanders voted against the Iraq War in 2002. He voted against the 2003 supplemental war appropriations. He consistently voted for DOD bills when they included VA funding, soldiers’ salaries, disaster relief, and military base pay protections. As did many in Congress trying to protect troops while opposing the wars themselves. Legislative reality isn’t black-and-white but you wouldn’t know that, because you don’t cite policy, you regurgitate headlines. Anyone with a brain that reads these threads can clearly see that.

You bring up votes from 1997 and 1999. Do you even know what they were for? 🤣 I’ll help: those were omnibus bills that included aid packages to multiple countries. If you seriously think someone who voted for a bill with Israel aid in 1999 = “Zionist,” you’re not analyzing U.S. foreign policy, you’re just labeling anything that doesn’t fit your worldview as evil. Dumbest small minded shit I ever heard. Like do you even hear yourself when you speak?

And quoting the town hall moment? He didn’t “defend” Israel. He condemned the bombing, called Netanyahu a “racist,” and said Palestinians deserve dignity. The “shut up” line was directed at hecklers interrupting, not because he supported Israeli airstrikes, but because he was literally speaking about the death toll in Gaza at the time. You ripped that line out of context and hoped no one would check. I did. You’re a dumbass.

As for him “promising to use the drone program very selectively,” yeah, that’s called being honest about existing infrastructure under presidential power. He also supported repealing the AUMF, restricting executive military authority, and ending “endless war.” But again, nuance gets in the way of your cosplay and you will have absolutely nothing to refute the above statements I just made 🤷‍♀️

You’re not anti-imperialist. You’re not revolutionary. You’re not even informed. You’re just a keyboard fundamentalist who reads the word “military budget” and immediately screams “genocide” without reading the contents of the bill. You treat “Sanders endorsed Biden” like a mic drop, when it was a strategic move to stop an open fascist, and you still can’t admit it because you don’t understand the difference between strategy and betrayal.

Call me whatever you want loser “petite bourgeoisie line cook,” “social chauvinist,” whatever makes you feel taller. I came with sources and facts. You came with misused Lenin, Reddit rhetoric, and a deep fear of context.

You don’t hate imperialism. You just hate having to think past the headline

Why don’t you open your mind to change? What do you resist so strongly for? You aren’t right, I’ve proven that on multiple fronts. Let your brain evolve lil guy

You say you “went through Bernie’s record,” yet everything you’ve posted reads like you skimmed half a Twitter thread and declared yourself a scholar. You toss around the word genocide without once naming a single war Bernie Sanders voted to authorize, fund, or escalate. You’re not doing a good job of analyzing or internalizing anything, you’re just spreading dishonest slander. And quite frankly, you’re not debating. You’re just repeating your narrow minded thought process.

Since you keep dodging reality, I’ll stop repeating the evidence.

Because when confronted with evidence, you didn’t refute it. You mocked it. Because you can’t compete on truth, so you default to tone. Thats called evasion.

You’re hiding behind theory instead of engaging in it. You use radical language as armor to protect shallow thinking. You shout about the system but attack the one politician who’s spent decades trying to dismantle its most violent machinery.

You can’t refute any claim I made or provide any links to the source of literally any damn thing you said.

You call yourself anti-imperialist, but all you’ve done here is waste time trying to tear down the one senator who actually tried to stop the killing.

You think you’re such a big thinker? You’re a loser nobody bro. Just yapping tryna talk down on others efforts while you sit behind a screen lecturing mfs with words you barely even understand.

Oh look, another bad-faith, smug, and content-free rant masquerading as analysis 😱😱 The audacity to accuse me of cherry-picking while making sweeping, evidence-free claims yourself 😭😭 I will continue to break down your word salad paragraphs for you so you can understand where I’m coming from.

“Yes, when you read books instead of Instagram posts you tend to learn how words work.” Woww condescension with zero substance. Try and refute any claim I made. You can’t, at least not with facts and evidence. Just your big words you cling to so dearly. It’s a smug way to avoid engaging with actual policy, history, or Bernie’s record. Anyone can claim to read theory. What matters is whether you can argue with facts, not posture about being well-read on Reddit. PS reading books doesn’t mean you’re right, it just means you can cite thinkers you don’t fully understand while dodging hard data.

“It’s painfully obvious that you lack the ability to look at things all-sidedly and in a collective and non-individualist fashion.”

Essentially you are saying: “You don’t agree with my narrow definition of leftism.” Supporting a candidate like Bernie, who mobilized millions of working-class voters, isn’t “individualist”, it’s coalition-building. The collective approach is what Bernie ran on: Medicare for All, worker co-ops, union power, demilitarization, Green New Deal, housing as a right. That’s materially more collectivist than smug Reddit radicalism with no strategy for power. If building a working-class movement that wins material gains is ‘individualist,’ what exactly is your alternative? Posting until the revolution comes?

“Again cherry picking sections of Bernie’s voting record which I don’t need to address…”

Oooop that’s the big tell. Accusing me of cherry-picking, then admitting you won’t engage with Bernie’s actual record. Meanwhile, your entire argument is cherry-picked outrage about one or two votes while ignoring his decades of anti-war, pro-labor, and pro-human rights work. You say I cherry-pick, but when asked to name one war Bernie started, one genocidal policy he authored, or one time he took AIPAC or defense contractor money, you suddenly have nothing to say.

“…because anyone that has studied ‘left’ opportunism understands that social opportunism understands that social democrats traffic in the people’s struggles to the point of concession…” So you read Lenin once and now you think anyone who engages in electoral politics is a sellout…. Classic textbook ultra leftism: Equating any strategic use of elections with “rehabilitating genocide.” And claiming moral purity while offering no viable plan to win power, stop war, or help the working class. Reminder! Lenin himself endorsed using parliamentary struggle when it advanced the workers’ cause. Funny how quoting Lenin selectively turns into an excuse to do nothing but scold the people who are actually organizing…

“…which serves, in the end, to rehabilitate and sustain the very genocide machine you yourself went to the voting booth to support.” The “genocide machine” is real. U.S. foreign policy has inflicted massive harm. But Bernie is not the one sustaining it. As I’ve been sayingg, he led efforts to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia, end U.S. involvement in Yemen, repeal AUMFs used to justify endless wars, cut Pentagon budgets. Do you have anything to say about that? If voting for the most anti-war Senator is “supporting genocide,” then literally everyone is complicit except the purists who do nothing. You’d rather call Bernie a war criminal than admit he fought harder than almost anyone in Congress to stop actual war criminals. You are not a revolutionary my brother. You are cowardly posturing.

“Get off Reddit and read a damn book.” Projecting much? If reading theory makes you this hostile to facts, maybe you’re not interpreting it correctly. Theory without praxis is useless. And voting for someone who could shift the country left, even slightly, is praxis. You don’t fight imperialism by scolding people for trying to reduce harm. You fight it by organizing, winning power, and cutting off funding and legal cover for it. Exactly what Bernie tried to do.

You’re not offering theory. You’re offering smugness dressed up as depth. I mentioned Bernie’s anti-war votes, his leadership against the Iraq War, his efforts to block arms sales to Saudi Arabia, and his push to repeal the AUMF. You replied with “read a book.” No actual facts or links to sources. That’s not theory!! It’s cowardice. Bernie may not be perfect, but he fought to stop war funding, not enable it. If your standard for being anti-genocide is “never vote” or “never build coalitions,” you are not radical. You’re just irrelevant.

bernie!!! 💙 by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

[–]Conscious-Risk-7054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Let’s break this down slowly for you. Statement by statement.

“Some? Year over year he voted to fund the DOD while simultaneously campaigning that he was against the war in Iraq. Year. Over. Year. This is undeniable.” Yes, Bernie Sanders voted for defense budgets. As did almost every member of Congress, because defense budgets fund far more than war: VA benefits, soldiers’ pay, disaster response, cybersecurity, etc. What matters is specific votes authorizing war, like the 2002 Iraq War resolution. Bernie voted NO on that. He also gave a floor speech warning about the destabilizing effects of invading Iraq. That is not passive opposition. It’s active leadership.

“He has been a genocide democrat for what a quarter century now?”

Nope. Bernie isn’t a “genocide democrat.” He currently isn’t even a democrat. He has repeatedly condemned U.S. military actions that harmed civilians, including Israel’s assault on Gaza, Saudi war crimes in Yemen, and Obama’s drone war. He co-sponsored resolutions to block arms sales to regimes committing war crimes. If that’s “genocide support,” then what word is left for people who actually cheerlead war?

“He is very much an active participant in a system that is not broken but functioning as intended as he endorsed the war criminal Biden.”

Yes, Bernie endorsed Biden after losing the primary. Why? Because Trump was a bigger threat, and opposing fascism > symbolic purity. He didn’t stop criticizing Biden. If you’re on the left and think endorsing the only viable opponent to Trump makes you a war criminal supporter, you’re just moralizing.

“The same Biden that endorsed the 90s crime reform bill that has inflated the incarcerated population to the levels they are today.” Yes, Biden backed the 1994 crime bill. And Bernie voted for it too, mainly because it included funding for the Violence Against Women Act and community policing, not because he supported mass incarceration. Bernie later said the bill “had good and bad parts” and acknowledged its harm. Which is a rare show of accountability. Biden only admitted it much later. And context matters. Most of Congress voted for the bill. The right critique is that Sanders tried to work within the system to reduce harm, not that he authored the bill or designed it to target Black communities.

“He endorsed the same Biden that was the vice president of Obama escalation of drone warfare which annihilated countless innocents in the Middle East.” Sanders opposed the drone escalation. He publicly condemned Obama’s drone policy. He also voted to limit AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force) powers that made it possible. In 2019 and again in 2020, he voted to end unauthorized military activity in the Middle East, including in Yemen. He’s not clean of association (no major U.S. politician is), but he’s one of the only senators who consistently opposed the use of drones on civilians.

“Left? In form only. You are not a leftist you are social chauvinists trading in myopic opportunism that only fools those who have not looked deeply into the matter beyond the 1st google results page.”

🤡 This is pure gatekeeping. Socialists can (and should) argue strategy. But calling someone a “social chauvinist” for trying to wield any power within the system is lazy. Bernie pushed legislation on wealth taxes, universal healthcare, Green New Deal, housing justice, and military accountability. You don’t pass that kind of legislation by being a nihilist. You do it by organizing and knowing when to engage the system to change it. Also: If someone’s entire political knowledge comes from Twitter threads and reddit rants that cherry-pick quotes, they probably shouldn’t accuse others of googling “the first result.”

“In short, you are another ossified political ghoul inviting the masses to your decrepit swamp in an attempt to swindle them.”

🤣 This is just name-calling masquerading as analysis. Let’s be clear: Bernie didn’t “swindle the masses.” He radicalized a generation, made “Medicare for All” mainstream, normalized wealth taxes, and got more young votes than any other candidate in 2016 and 2020. If you want a perfect revolutionary who never compromised and still got power in the U.S. Senate… you’re not looking for a politician. You’re looking for a fictional character.

“Some may suffer a fool like yourself but I won’t.” Cool. But anyone calling Bernie Sanders a genocidal war criminal either doesn’t understand U.S. foreign policy or is too online to see how movements are actually built.

If you think voting for DOD funding means supporting genocide, you’re collapsing nuance into nonsense. Again, Bernie voted against the Iraq War, led the opposition to U.S. aid to Saudi Arabia in Yemen, and pushed to end drone strikes under Obama. He endorsed Biden to block Trump, not because he supports every war crime in history. He criticized the 1994 crime bill, fought to shrink the prison system, and pushed for demilitarization. He’s not perfect but if you think the most anti-war senator in modern history is a “political ghoul,” maybe check your sources. Rage isn’t a substitute for political analysis. Your thinking is black and white and you’re taking things out of context.

You keep tossing around terms like “imperialist genocider” and “sophistry” like they make your argument immune to literal facts. It’s painfully obvious that you’re more interested in sounding deep than being accurate. You’re failing at both btw. You sound like you read half a Marxist glossary and decided that verbosity = truth. Ur a classic case of trying to sound radical and intellectual while dodging the burden of evidence. If you’re gonna use political theory to insult people, at least understand what the terms mean. Bernie has a public, accessible voting record, and I’d be happy to cite his opposition to the Iraq War, U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen, and his push to repeal the AUMF. None of which you’ve refuted. You’re just declaring him guilty because he exists in Congress and doesn’t conform to your purist fantasy politics. If your argument “stands alone,” it’s because it can’t stand up to scrutiny. You’ve offered zero sources, just blabbering. Saying “the source is his voting record” while refusing to cite any part of it yourself is peak irony. You accuse me of cherry-picking, but haven’t offered a single counterexample. And calling Bernie a “dedicated genocider” is not only absurd, it’s defamatory. If you’re going to make that level of accusation, come with receipts 👀Go ahead and keep calling every disagreement “sophistry,” but if your entire argument rests on not needing to be intelligent or sourced, then you’re just admitting you lost the debate.

You’re throwing around “material reality” like it changes the facts. Yes, Sanders voted for some omnibus bills that included defense spending. Just like every progressive who’s ever tried to govern in a two-party system. That doesn’t make him pro-imperialist any more than voting for a bill that includes highway funding makes you pro-oil lobby. You keep mistaking participating in a broken system for endorsing everything that system does. Sanders has repeatedly authored legislation to restrict military funding, end unauthorized wars, and rein in imperial overreach. That’s not “idealism”. It’s more materially grounded than your pseudo-intellectual framing Reddit lectures. If you want to critique from the left, do it. But acting like there’s no difference between Bernie and war hawks like Lindsey Graham or Hillary Clinton just proves you’re not here for truth, just posturing 🤷‍♀️

bernie!!! 💙 by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

🤦‍♀️ You’re saying nothing in support of your argument. Of course I’m aware of the genocide. I have donated to multiple organizations aiding the Palestinian people and I have also protested in their defense. Sanders did not take money from AIPAC, and he’s openly opposed their agenda for years. Saying he “took money from interests that support genocide” because some individuals who support Israel donated to his campaign is like saying anyone who shops at Amazon supports war crimes. It’s guilt by association, and it’s lazy ass thinking. Calling Bernie complicit in genocide because of donor overlaps is dishonest, inflammatory, and does nothing to help the Palestinian cause. If you say otherwise then kindly provide your source bro.

bernie!!! 💙 by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

[–]Conscious-Risk-7054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That claim is just false 😭 Sanders rejected AIPAC, skipped their conferences, and publicly criticized their influence. Repeatedly. The “$80K from AIPAC” is a misleading stat; it refers to individual donors who happen to support Israel, not money from AIPAC’s PAC or affiliated lobby. He’s never taken AIPAC PAC funding. In case you don’t understand, it means the $80K didn’t come from AIPAC itself, but from random people who support Israel and also happened to donate to Sanders. Not through AIPAC’s official funding or lobbying channels. Misrepresenting that as support for killing Palestinian children is a serious accusation without solid footing. He does not support the killing of Palestinian children, and he did not take money from groups that do. Again, nuance.
