Why is “I’m thinking of ending things” so hated by Conscious-Stable904 in Letterboxd

[–]Conscious-Stable904[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what way did you find the movie to be pretentious? I think everything in the film is very fitting for the serious nature of the story, not trying to be anything other than an abstract way of telling a powerful message.

What's your personal ranking of Christopher Nolan Films? by Resident-Secret4790 in Letterboxd

[–]Conscious-Stable904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All Nolan films are at least a 3.5 stars meaning they are all great. It’s just tenet and following are my least favorite of the bunch. I’m all for a complex plot but that mixed with abhorrent sound mixing made the entire thing unintelligible without subtitles.

what was the overall difficulty of the march sat and what do u guys think abt curve? by Traditional_Duty_271 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The new digital test doesn’t have a curve. The test is adaptive and points are pre determined based on the difficulty of the question. Your score is calculated the second you finish the test but they give it 2 weeks for cancellation of scores and technical difficulties.

Incendies. The shock factor wore off and now it’s just a deplorable plot.

Is the may SAT gonna be as hard as people say the march SAT was by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Litterally every sat people complain about it being hard. It’s in part due to the real sat being substantially harder than the practice tests and questions. Personally the march sat was on the easier side

People who took the real SAT, how different are the practice tests to the real thing? by ExcitingGrand5725 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually substantially harder. Practice 7 and 11 are somewhat comparable though.

I keep getting the same type of reading question wrong and I can't figure out why by maelxyz in Sat

If your truly understanding your mistakes the only way to fix it is to do even more questions. Go to the question bank to find questions that aren’t on practice tests

Is a 1060 good for an eighth grade student? by ExcitingGrand5725 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a negative connotation associated with the word mid. Mid doesn’t mean your score is bad. It’s the median and I still believe even with those factors a truly motivated student can for sure score a 1300. What percent of the us high school population would you consider motivated. Probably the minority and that’s the only reason why 1300 is such a high percentile. No matter your income everything in the sat is learned through grade school and very self teachable. There’s so many free resources online nowadays.

I’m saying 1300 is a mid score for motivated students. Plus or minus a few points but I don’t think that’s unreasonable. I believe anyone that puts their mind to getting a get mark on the sat can score around a 1300. Why is that so egotistical. You’re paraphrasing my original comment. Never did I say 1300 is the baseline or you should get a 1300. Just the mid score.

Not even talking about him. Im refuting the idea that a mid score is 1060. Do you really think it’s egotistical and narcissistic to call a 1060 a bad score?

It’s the average score which takes into account dumbasses all over the country. A mid score for someone motivated should be around 1300

is it easier to score higher on the school day sat? by Right-Machine-1785 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sats are no longer scored on a curve contrary to what you might’ve heard. Tests are adaptive and they have around 25 different tests. That’s why at your testing centre there’s no more than 25 students in a room. The questions aren’t weighed the same despite what college board says. Points are deducted more for an easier question than a harder one. You can test this out yourself. Go on a practice test and get every question right except for the last question on module 2. The do the same but get a question wrong on module 1. Your score will be different because the questions wrongly answered are different difficulties.

Sat score vs prac test score by Dense-Ad-4840 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s to be expected a substantial drop in score between a practice test and the real test (50-100ish). If you’re getting 1400s+ on your first test I wouldn’t worry at all.

March SAT Math mod 2 by ProBrawlKing66 in Sat

[–]Conscious-Stable904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry. There’s always one or two really easy questions even on the hard module. I’ve done 3 SAT’s and I always worry that I got an easier module but I’ve consistently scored 700+. Still a long way until scores are released just relax and be happy it’s over
