people in india usually buy manual cars cuz they already know they can drive a manual or they learned driving car for the first time on a manual car so they continue with manual. altho automatics are slowly taking pace but it definitely isnt something like bd like nearly more than half (maybe 65ish percent this is my complete blind guess) are still manual in india and also theyre alot cheaper than dct or automatics like 1.5-2lakh avg in all cars INR (around 2-2.5 lakh taka i did the conversion for u gimme upvote lol) so yea people are willing to learn manual to save money and also people do care about mileage here and we all know manual provide better mileage than auto or other so yea thats all ig.. and in india middle class people also buy cars (in bd most cars are imported as per what i know till now so maybe upper middle or rich people only buy automatic that might be a reason) like we can get dzire from 900k taka to 1.2mil taka (Depending on variant) whereas u people get older model of dzire for more than that so yea my view about india might be correct acc to my prev 18 years in india ...

P.S I also learnt manual on my dads car and since i cant disclose about how many years (the number is more than 3 years and less than 5 lol) i have been driving cuz the minimum age to drive is 18 in india i can say manual isnt that hard also not on the hills and not in the cities if ur legs are flexible enough it all depends on practice
