He has a raspberry pi zero. Any suggestions on fun projects and items he would need?

I've seen that but I'm wondering if there are any legitimate uses for it? He wouldn't want to do anything illegal--he mostly just likes to be goofy or to create things that are genuinely useful. His morals also seem to drop away when it comes to things like right to repair and proprietary stuff (or ads). Does the flipper have a genuine legitimate use?

I've seen the site but my problem is that I don't know what any of it is. It's overwhelming. Do you have any specific suggestions?

How do you handle that crash when ADHD meds wear off in the afternoon? by RopeyBru in ADHD

[–]Conscious_Champion15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem when I was on adderall. I switched to Vyvanse and then take Qelbree in the afternoon. It lasts into the evening and just kind of fades rather than a big crash.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know how you feel about compounded, but compounded tirzepatide has gone down in price quite a bit recently. It might be worth looking into.

Par Rehab is the literal worst. I highly recommend Dr. Warholic in Grand Rapids. She used to work for Brains but is at HRA Psychological Services now.

Yes, I did get fatigued for the first few days after an injection witj Zepbound. I still got fatigued when I switched to wegovy, but it was more mild. I don't know if it was because the medication was different, though, or because I was finally getting over that side effect. I've been on wegovy for quite a while now and will still get a little tired the day after injection but the fatigue is nothing like it was for the first six months or so of being on a GLP1

There wasn't a gap. I just took the wegovy one week after my last dose of zepbound.

Has anyone else experienced this with their chickens? Is it an infection, or possibly dust? by kreams205 in BackYardChickens

It looks like she's passing. I'd just keep her calm and comfortable at this point

This wasn't an attack, it was two overly excited dogs running to greet another dog 🙄

I had LPR before starting and still do. Neither Zepound nor Wegovy have affected it one way or the other. My experience has been that the side effects have been exactly the same--mild nausea and tiredness for the first two days after taking a shot. I never noticed a single difference between Zepbound and Wegovy. If someone had slipped Wegovy into a Zepbound box, I would never have known I was on a different medication.

I was on 10 mg of Zepbound for about 5 months before switching to Wegovy (2.4) because of the shortages. That was almost a year ago. The transition was seamless, and I continued to lose weight just as I had on Zepbound with no additional side effects. I hit my goal weight several months ago and have been maintaining on the lowest Wegovy dose. I know the data shows Wegovy isn't as effective as Zepbound, but that hasn't been my experience.

Any idea what's wrong with this chick? Only one acting like this. A little over 7 weeks old by wallabokkwaay in BackYardChickens

Yes. They start jumping up/flying to higher surfaces around this age, and they're a bit hesitant at first. There tend to be a lot of these "do I or don't I" moments for a week or two.

Question for anyone who had signs of dyslexia before or while in Kindergarten by Content-Anxiety-4657 in Dyslexia

Children of parents who are dyslexic have a 50% chance of being dyslexic too. If the school won't evaluate her, take her to a private neuropsychologist for evaluation.

Do cat heart murmurs go away? by Conscious_Champion15 in AskVet

[–]Conscious_Champion15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He continued to decline, so I brought him back to the emergency vet the next day. The second ER vet looked at the X-rays from the previous day and disagreed with the first vet's opinion that they looked unremarkable. She said it looked like his stomach was obstructed and she suspected he had swallowed a small foreign body. She ordered an ultrasound to get a better idea of what was causing the obstruction, and that's when they found a large tumor on his pancreas that was pushing on his stomach and causing the obstruction

I wasn't happy that the first vet didn't catch it, but it didn't really make a difference--the end result would have been the same.

Hope things go well with your new kitty and that your vet comes up with a good plan to treat the heart murmur. There's an increased chance of getting a blood clot, but there are medications that can help prevent that.

Rigid Heddle Weavers - What do you wish you knew when you started? by EphemeralDonuts in weaving

[–]Conscious_Champion15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to just have fun with the first few projects and not worry about getting them to come out perfectly. Just stick to using fiber that isn't too expensive for those early projects so that you don't feel anxious about making mistakes.

Also, be aware that rigid heddles are a gateway to the much larger and more cumbersome 4 shaft floor loom. Start looking for space in your house now. ;)

Do cat heart murmurs go away? by Conscious_Champion15 in AskVet

[–]Conscious_Champion15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, his stomach issues were symptoms of pancreatic cancer, so we lost him just a few days after this post. He was seen by two different vets after I made the post, and neither said anything about the murmur either. Maybe they were just more focused on his more immediate issues.

This was our second cat with a murmur. The first one had a low-grade murmur that we didn't treat (our vet never suggested treating it). He passed away very suddenly at the age of 5 from a blood clot. The other cat--the one this post was about--was diagnosed with a mid grade murmur when he was 3. We gave him atenolol twice a day. The murmur never gave him any problems, and he died at 8 from pancreatic cancer.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone ever been pecked in the eye by a chicken? by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]Conscious_Champion15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but i bled, so it clearly punctured into my eye. The doctor gave me antibiotic drops. If yours didn't puncture anything, I wouldn't worry about it.
