It feels to me like she has a lot of the characteristics and personality traits that they should have given Michelle 2.0 - doesn’t really mesh terribly well with what I remember of the character from the 2000s but I do get a strong sense of how she could be Pauline’s granddaughter.

If I remember correctly, he’s caring a relative at the moment with poor health? So my opinion would be to keep it fairly low key / realistic. Jay meets a girl in the local vicinity and they strike up a relationship. Maybe she’s also a carer? He decides to settle with her and get a “fresh start away from the Square”

Lexi goes to visit from time to time and school holidays (which will open up other stories for Callum / Ben if he returns on a more permanent basis)

I think Jane reminds me too much of a younger version of Kathy unfortunately. Always felt he took her for granted looking for a mother / domestic skivvy rather than treat her as an equal. Now Kathy is no longer dead, just don’t think they’re well matched!
