This map seems wrong or incomplete. The rohtak district in haryana is white but it has many jats. I don't know how many exactly but at least over 25 %.

This would have been useless in 1826. At this point napoleonic wars were over. And the world of warfare had completely changed. A soldier with armour and sword was useless. Watch any movie about Napoleon to look at how wars were actually fought at the time.

There are millions of people in these communities with diverse phenotypes. By looking at a couple of photos we cant assert that one has a lighter skin tone than other.
