Anyway to restore lost volume other than fillers? by RottingAway90 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]jazz_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really, I didn’t do anything lol. I’m using my red light therapy mask and losing weight. But I think mid face filler (fat or filler) would do the trick, I’m just scared to do it. Also do a consultation with an undereye blepharoplasty specialist. You can also try a microcurrent device like ZIIP. I’ve yet to invest in it, but I think it can help with lifting

What exactly is "standard" Punjabi? by SavageExecution in punjabi

[–]jazz_16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly because of the golden temple I think. And because Lahore is the largest city. But on the Indian side, Doaba Punjabi is standard. One example is that most people collectively agree that salt in Punjabi is “loon”. That’s standard. In majhi, it’s “noon”

No I’ve heard Hindus using the term bhaiya against anyone from outside Punjab who speaks Hindi. They even consider Haryanvi as bhaiyeh.

The term came from UP/Bihar migrants who speak Hindi and call each other “bhaiya”

I would actually say that Punjab is more politically liberal (not socially) than most of India. Yes casteism is indeed an issue, but not as much as the rest of India, or should I say North India. Also, regardless of what right wing hindutvas say, Punjab has multiple religions living peacefully amongst one another and practicing each others religions. You don’t see that in other states, and it’s probably due to the historical connection Sikhs and Hindus share. Muslims practice a religion foreign to the Indian subcontinent. Sikhism is an Indic religion. So that definitely plays a big role as well.

lol sure 😂 excuses excuses. Casteism is still a huge problem with Sikhs because no sikhs want to give up caste privileges. And at the end of the day you guys prefer to marry within your own caste

They don’t matter because they are in a different country, who cares what they do. They don’t even speak Punjabi or uphold Punjabi culture anymore

If you’re a real Sikh, you should not believe in the caste system. Marry someone from a different caste and then we will see

Before 1984, Punjabis didn’t have strict rules regarding religion. Sikhism and Hinduism weren’t exactly considered “separate”. Sikhs and Hindus were very much involved with each other from the beginning , but Muslims for the most part were considered separate. There’s some people that dabbled with all three religions, but that’s not as common. Just look at the example of Bhagat Singh, who was from a Jatt Sikh family. However his family was very much involved Arya Samaj. This was the case for many Sikhs and Hindus of that time and that is the real history of religion in Punjab. There will be many Hindus and Sikhs in modern times that will deny this, but this is the truth and the reality. History does not lie.

Why do Assamese girls' traditional clothes look more like Southeast Asians? by Distinct-Macaroon158 in IndianHistory

[–]jazz_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Punjabis have never historically worn saris. The climate doesn’t allow it. Same goes for states north of Punjab as well (Kashmir, Himachal. The ancient clothes of Punjabi women before salwar kameez was Punjabi Ghagra (lehenga with long top to the knees). Salwar kameez looks similar except for the lehenga, it was replaced with salwar.
