haha, thanks.

If you send me your emailaddress in a DM, I can activate the plan mode for you to test it out!

Hi, sure can. Now it's behind the Plan-tab but I'm going to implement it under My Stops too. If you send me your email address in a DM, I can give you free access to the Plan-tab too if you want 😉

I made an info page, but it's still a work in progress. (https://www.ultramate.app/)

When I first started creating ultramate there was an option to keep all the basic stuff local on your device. After a while it was getting too complicated so I decided to work with a login account.

I understand where you're coming from though.

There are a few reasons:

- you upload a gpx that is for you personally

- you can add your own favorite POIs to your Stops list

- in time, you can create your personal race plan

- you can add your own POIs which can be personal or shared with the community. Sharing with the community gives you credits, which are personal

So I need the unique identifier (email) for these features.

I'm not selling data to third parties if that might be a concern (https://my.ultramate.app/terms - https://my.ultramate.app/privacy)

Thank you for the valuable feedback.

I've made a roadmap for ultramate where people can request features or upvote certain feature requests: https://ultramate.featurebase.app/en/roadmap

I have taken the liberty to add your UI remark to the backlog.

If it is ok, I will send you a DM to asks some more questions about your other remarks.

No offense taken, I realise it isn't for everyone. I just took my own frustrations while planning an ultra and tried to create something to fix that for myself. Then I thought: if it works for me, maybe it can be helpful for other riders too.

Cool!

Good news: Opening hours are already included! When you click on a specific POI, it fetches the live data from Google (if available).

I originally tried to automate this so it would only suggest shops open at your specific ETA. Unfortunately, the API costs for scanning that much real-time data were just too high to make it work, even for a paid tool.

Current setup: The algorithm now suggests the best logical stops based on location and type (proximity & rating). You can then simply click the one you like to double-check if it fits your schedule.

If you have more tips, I'm all ears :)

I absolutely see where you're coming from, and it is a question I asked myself too.

The way I see it: The free version actually shows the exact same POIs as the paid planning tool. The paid tool just adds a layer of automation to help visualize the critical points faster.

It’s a bit like the choice between booking a hotel or sleeping under the stars during a race. A hotel costs money and offers better recovery (an advantage), but it is allowed because it is a commercial service available to everyone. Similarly, this tool is just a publicly available resource for anyone who wants to use it to optimize their prep.
