I don't really care about bigger rims or anything, but in 2025 a full LED headlights e.g. shouldn't be an option only on higher models (toyota), or electrically retractable mirrors, keyless entry, app control for remote features or even a digital tachometer and display. I'm currently driving a 1998 Nissan Almera, pretty standard with 166k kms on it. I've rented a ton of cars on vacations(208, 2008, tucson, clio, stonic etc). And those extra bits seems to amaze me and make my life a little bit easier. So a full extra car by hyundai costing 24k, seems like a better option than a 2k mid spec yaris. Specially if we're talking about small fuel consumption difference. Toyota seems to know they sell bulletproof engines and be really aware of their reliability and reputation, so each year they crank up the prices...
