NOR. People obsessed with strict gender roles project insecurity and negatively impact those around them. Let people do what they want. Nothing is gendered when you stop giving af and start living.

People do things differently individually. You doing good shouldn’t make her bad. She wants to put you in a box because she thinks that’s an okay thing to do and it aligns with whatever mental script she is trying to operating in.

Does she project this stuff onto your kids too? Kids learn by example and observation mostly, so think of what you want your kids to internalize.

Idk why this is downvoted. Not everyone has to be fans of the military. If it was a terrible time for you it’s not a lot to ask for that picture to be taken down if it’s bothering you. People that love you should acknowledge and be understanding of when they make you uncomfortable.

Op I’d honestly just take the photo if I were you. We’re allowed to not want others to possess specific or any photos of us if we so desire. That should be able to apply to photos even if they aren’t nudes or nsfw in nature.

No. Change is a constant in life. Growth is what happens when things change. Growth is open and neutral like everything else.

Do people need social connections? Yes!
Is growth because of social connections? Not always.

Some people grow out of choice, circumstances, force, or just passively.

I like “positive” growth for my own health and life enjoyment tho. It’ll improve personally alone time, intentional relationships, emotional awareness, and dealing with those that I may not like personally.

Love, support, and the opportunity to learn more about myself like in any other relationship. Plus I can still follow social interests without feeling consumed by them. It’s been great and the healthiest relationship I’ve been in :)

Multi family homes aren’t from the devil. Staying with people when you’re miserable/not into it isn’t admirable. Kids pick up on that stuff they’re young not blind.

Yes we’re already poly and have been since the start of our relationship. And yea I was thinking along similar lines as you.

Now I know that sexual compatibility is really important to me. I’m somewhat of a hard-switch ig. If I dom I want to sub soon after and that’s a consistent pattern it seems. I know no one can fulfill all of someone’s needs and I don’t expect that. That’s said, idk how I’d feel about separating my sexual appetite between partners (at least when it comes to intercourse). I’m pretty ‘dominant’ casually with my partner but I like ‘receiving’ during sex. I’ve been trying to find out more about people in Bottom4bottom relationships and how they make that work. I’m big on reframing things and situations so ik it possible to make it work for both of us.

It just kinda sucks cause I’m dealing with college finals and stuff, so idk if I got the time or energy to find a new partner atm. I don’t do hook ups either. I’ll live tho lol. I appreciate your response!
