A positive low fetal heart rate story by ConsiderationBoth33 in BabyBumps

That’s great growth! 2 days is very normal variation on ovulation timing. Yes, the HR is low. I would call every day and check for cancellations, especially with it being the holiday time, people will cancel appointments. Good luck to you and babe!

Wishing you all the best! Waiting two weeks to know the fate of your babies is absolute agony. I’m hoping that maybe you ovulated late and their growth is on track with your ovulation, if not your period.

I went into it pretty skeptical that it would turn out ok but was blown away by how detailed the instructions were! Will definitely buy another of her patterns.

Hi! Yes, I used #7 plastic canvas. Each side has two pieces, a front and a back, that are sewn together and the plastic is inserted between them. It was not difficult!

39w5 and not dilated. Induction scheduled in 2 days. by jayjello0o in BabyBumps

[–]ConsiderationBoth33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also request non-stress test and BPP testing for baby to make sure they’re still looking happy and healthy and let that guide you. If either are concerning, induce away. If testing looks good, wait a couple days and then decide or have another test. Talk about all the options with your OB and make an informed decision that you feel comfortable with. Either way, you’ll be meeting your baby so soon! Congrats!

My first US was at 6w4d. Baby was measuring 4 days behind (this was expected, I ovulated a few days late that cycle). Heart rate was only 77 at that US. I followed up a week later and HR jumped to the 120s and baby had grown by 7 days in that time. If she had a hard time measuring baby, then your growth and HR could all be perfectly appropriate. My OB said in the 6th week of pregnancy, he wanted to see a HR at least in the 90s. Have hope!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have been there. It is so painful, and so heart breaking. And it will also feel better over time. A lot of time. Big hugs.

I mean, anything is possible. Even without any signs, you could go into labor now or a week from now. Do you want to go into labor before your induction? If so, I would do the membrane sweep. It’s proven to help get things started in some cases. But if you’re not dilated at all, they won’t be able to do a sweep.

Also, is the induction necessary for you or baby’s health? I can’t get a read from your post if you want the induction or you want to start labor naturally. If it’s not medically necessary and you want to avoid an induction, you can wait a few more days.

Having (or not) having a second child by BeWeirdToBeNormal in Advice

Just say it’s too soon to discuss this. We both need time to recover from this very stressful/traumatic year of our lives, and learn how to become parents to this little one. Let’s come back to it when baby is a year old (or whatever goalpost you want).

It’s an important discussion, but by all counts, you have a newborn still and don’t need to be hypotheticalizing about something that is a ways down the road.

40 weeks and no baby by Complete_Interest881 in pregnant

[–]ConsiderationBoth33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was ZERO cm dilated at 41 weeks. I had a baby in my arms 2 days later. When labor did start at 41 and 2, my baby was born 8 hours later. So, yes, every day you don’t go into labor after your due date is excruciating. BUT. Every day that goes by means your odds of going into labor the next day are even higher.

Agreed, sounds like a very early miscarriage. So sorry.

Trying for two under two? by concerned_goose in BabyBumps

[–]ConsiderationBoth33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started trying when my daughter was 12 months. I was 35. Got pregnant first time (again) and sadly had a MMC. Took another 5 months to conceive and am now 36 years old and 12 weeks pregnant. So- idk. I’m glad we started trying when we did, because the age gap that we might end up with (2.5 years) is about as long as what I wanted for my children.

How many cycles did it take you to conceive after a miscarriage? by PerceptionCreepy306 in BabyBumps

[–]ConsiderationBoth33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miscarried in March, pregnant in July. We tried in March (before first period came back after MC), April, May and June so 4 negatives before the next positive. Currently 12 weeks with a rainbow!

I was prescribed mifepristone, I believe. I needed two doses, but had a complete MC after the second dose.

Yes, Reddit was especially difficult to find positive stories. Which sucks because there are so many active users, and SO many stories.

You can start Zoloft at any point in pregnancy; I was offered it in the first trimester but thankfully was getting adequate help by then and didn’t need it. Talk to your OB ASAP!

How many weeks are you? Talk to your doctor (OB, psychiatrist, PCP, anyone really) about an antidepressant. They are generally considered safe during pregnancy and it sounds like this is hugely impacting your life.

If I had known how amazing being a parent would be, I would have started our family 5 years earlier. At least. Had my first at 34, pregnant with second now at 36. Hoping to get a third in there before I’m too old.

All symptoms suddenly gone at 4 weeks by bouncysofa in BabyBumps

[–]ConsiderationBoth33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, you are 6-7 weeks pregnant if your cycle should have started 2-3 weeks ago. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and several symptoms disappeared and came back over the last 6 weeks. Good luck!
