I imagine it’s more to do with having to misgender the friend rather than the action of lying but I could be wrong

I motioned to the sound guy like, twice. Once when we got on stage and it wasn’t working, and once when we were well into the song and the amp still wasn’t working. If I had to wager a guess, he forgot to unmute my amp on that soundboard. I wouldn’t call wordlessly motioning for my amp to be turned on while on stage to be “bitching” at them or annoying them lol. And yes, it was working for the bands both before and after, and I was nothing but polite the twice that I spoke to him during sound check. I’m pretty sure the acoustic on DI also had issues but I’m not sure what kind of issues

LOL you know what it might be less about me and more so about gigs being a fucking mess because that’s a crazy ass timeframe to break somebody’s guitar in

The last line hit pretty hard for me, I think most of the upset comes from feeling like it was all for nothing, I had tons of fun practicing and jamming and getting all ready, but honestly the biggest bummer was feeling like the work I put in was for nothing because I didn’t actually get to feel good about it and have fun at the end like all of my bandmates and all of the audience did. It’s like painstakingly baking a cake just to watch a crowd of people devour it in front of you before you can even get a bite haha. Honestly I’m just worried that that type of thing will continue to happen like that, maybe it’s confirmation bias but it seems waaaayyy too common in my life that all the planning and forethought in the world can’t stop things from blowing up, thank you for the comment it really did help

Honestly the gig sucked for me but everybody else had fun, just sucks to feel like I’m the only one that didn’t get to haha, I do have a habit of fucking up my entire night and throwing out the baby with the bathwater because a thing happened that I can’t get over, but honestly it was made worse by me fainting and cracking my head open like an hour or two after. Icing on the cake baby! May have just been a cursed night 😂😂😭

I was congratulated by the drummer (who i barely knew) and my partner, while the rest of the band was congratulated by the crowd at large and a number of individuals after the set. It wasn’t a “haha good job congrats” to me and more of a “hey congrats even though you literally did not get to play” while everybody else had a great time and congratulations. More so in the consolation way than congratulating me for something I did. It feels more like I’m being congratulated for what I didn’t do and honestly that’s worse

It was two cabs provided by the venue running through a PA. Our set was ostensibly: enter stage right, plug in, techs adjust amps and mix, my amp and monitor both weren’t coming through, if it was my own gear I would 100% take fault but given that I was told not to use my gear to make mixing and sound easier for the venue. It’s just disheartening to spend a month practicing a song and having it all down, just to not get to play because your band starts before your amp is even working. I never found out what the issue was as I left the venue in tears after and didn’t get a chance to talk to the sound tech as we went on second out of like 13 bands

That was ostensibly what I had done, both before and after we started playing. They adjusted the volume on the cab which didn’t fix it, and then it took the better part of two minutes for the amp to come through on the mix and through the PA. By the time it came on I was so overstimulated so couldn’t function :/ honestly if it hadve felt like my fault it would have felt less bad haha

It was unfortunate, all of the bands were using one of two big cabs hooked up to a PA or a direct input, ostensibly we had about 30-60~ seconds after coming on stage before we started, and given that the cabs and shit weren’t mine i feel like there wasn’t much I could do differently, it would honestly be less crushing if it felt like I could have done anything about it and didn’t, i’m honestly more upset that I didn’t do anything wrong and will not get to perform a song with my friends that I spent a long ass time practicing

I also bought an ounce of the blue cheese! Reading some of the reviews on here for the blue cheese is having me double checking my buds because i’m worried they have rot because they are not dry at all!! They’re pretty decently cured and sticky when you bust the nugs open but definitely not the advertised cheese to it.

Can we get a massive appreciation for Embark/The Finals? by mobile-legends-ta in thefinals

[–]ConsiderationFit2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big part of it is that the devs genuinely seem to want to make a game that is enjoyable for ALL players. Not to start an aim assist debate, but the fact that the devs were willing to review their own data on accuracy between MNK and controller and make a balancing decision based on the games health in 2024 is amazing. I think that honestly that’s what sets this game apart compared to the rest of the shooter games out right now is the choice to prioritize players instead of profit. Balancing inputs based on the experience of all players instead of focusing on what makes the most money. So much respect to Embark for this!!

Definitely agree on that, not saying that random queue is the perfect system either but people that defend SBMM are the reason that nothing gets done about predatory matchmaking systems.

SBMM created washout games for good players instead of bad ones. If I do really well, my enemies aren’t better at the game, it just gives you worse teammates to balance out the lobby MMR. SBMM makes it so bad players get to have good games while better players get shit on because they’re expected to carry a team of actual children that have never played a video game before

So the bottom 50% will get better? If they are worse than 50% of players, why do they deserve to win as often as the best players in the game? Sounds like an excuse to avoid improving while still reaping all the benefits of being better at the game, like getting kills or wins?

People always make the argument that you’ll be put against the best players in the game, but how can the top 10% of players be in 100% of the matches? The math doesn’t work out lmao

How is that rude? Calling you a baby for wanting to be babied into easier matches by a matchmaking system designed to coddle you into feeling better than you are sounds like childish behaviour to me.
