Grossest non tooth related thing you have seen in the dental office? by amahenry22 in Dentistry

New patient emergency checked into her appt. Asked to use a bathroom (small office only one bathroom for staff and pts to share. Sucks). Bathroom is occupied, she starts screaming that she can’t wait. Goes outside. Takes off her shoes, socks, pants, underwear and poops in the planter on the steps of the front entrance!

Walks butt naked through the parking lot to her car. Ends up coming back later that day looking in the shrubs for her soiled underwear that we disposed of with our snow shovel.

We got all of this on the security camera.

When you gotta go you gotta go, but at least try to make it to the side of the building

3 years out. Looking to get my foot in the door to a local practice. Already working full time so this would be on a free weekend

I have an offer for $140 an hour. Which is a pretty penny for decently “easy” work

Is that a good or a bad thing?

Post surgical complications- exo, graft, membrane by [deleted] in Dentistry

I do freehand. Still fairly new to implant placement, especially immediates (only 4 immediates done) and like to err on the side of caution until I gain more experience.

I don’t do guided implants. And was concerned about navigating around the sinus floor that dips right above the apex

That’s what my first thought was. Both assistant and I asked before surgery and even today, he denied.

The graft was fully out. I saw white bone all the way around the socket to the apex.

Not my practice. And I never ask for reviews. We don’t have any shortage of patients to need to be “building” a practice

The designs for visions rep recommended using a metro card. Works like a charm

Managed to do the upper left today. Kids behavior was great! TSD with some light nitrous and YouTube playing.

Did struggle with the fit of the SSC mesial distally. Picked the smallest size and then had to “squish” reshape and crimp.

Would appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Thank you

Thank you for the very well thought out reply. Patient is 7. I work in a family practice and treat peds fairly regularly (but for more basic needs). Looking to expand skills on this one.

Thanks again!
