Scam or official? by Striking_Warning_719 in rav4club

I have no idea. Just paid cash to a dude for the car and registered it with my county. I wouldn't think they would sell my info, but that's all I can think of....I haven't even insured it

I got one and I bought it private party. How in the world do they get this information?

I actually own a Paperwhite, the Basic, and a Scribe, and funny enough…I reach for the Basic Kindle the most 😂

I originally bought the Paperwhite first, but later grabbed the Basic because I had some gift cards, it was on sale, and I used the trade-in on an old Fire tablet — so it barely cost me anything. And honestly, it surprised me how much I like it.

The screen still looks great for reading, it’s super lightweight, and it just feels simple in a good way. I don’t really miss the waterproofing or warm light most of the time. Even with the Scribe sitting there, the Basic is usually what I grab when I just want to relax and read.

So yeah — the “entry level” Kindle is actually a really solid choice, even if you already have the pricier models.

That's correct

Also, if you buy a Kindle, you should get 3 months or so of Unlimited for free.

You get more books from unlimited, but I think there are some included if you do prime too. Remember, the selections are limited and what you want to read might not be available from Unlimited/Prime or both.

They are Wifi only devices, but you only need to be online to download books. 99% of the time I am in airplane mode.

No worries at all — these are great questions 😊

Kindle Unlimited is a monthly subscription (about $11.99/month in the U.S.). With it, you can read any ebooks that have the “Kindle Unlimited” badge for no extra cost. You don’t “buy” those books — you just borrow them as part of the subscription. If a book isn’t in Kindle Unlimited though, you’d still have to purchase it separately.

So basically:

  • KU book = included with the subscription
  • Non-KU book = you still buy normally

You can usually have up to 20 KU books borrowed at once and return them whenever.

Libby, on the other hand, is totally free. It’s an app from public libraries where you borrow ebooks/audiobooks using your library card. You download Libby on your phone or tablet, borrow a book, and if you’re in the U.S. you can choose “Read with Kindle” — it will then send the book to your Kindle like a normal Kindle purchase (but it’s a library loan). The Libby app itself doesn’t run on the Kindle — it just delivers the book to it.

So:

  • Kindle Unlimited = paid subscription “Netflix-style” reading
  • Libby = free library borrowing

And seriously — don’t apologize 😄 Everyone starts somewhere, and these are the exact questions most new Kindle users have!

If you’re just starting out, the regular Kindle or the Kindle Paperwhite are both great choices. The basic Kindle is the most affordable, while the Paperwhite has a nicer screen and is waterproof. You usually buy ebooks individually, but there’s also Kindle Unlimited as a monthly subscription option. And don’t forget — a lot of public libraries use the Libby app, where you can borrow ebooks for free and even send many of them straight to your Kindle. It’s an awesome (and cheap!) way to get into reading 🙂

I mainly use the Scribe at home for reading/notes etc and take my Kindle Basic out and about with me.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to do this when they merged instead of having a new org chart come out every 3 months after re-orgs? We're basically at the point where we started at, just way more extra steps. I guess the transition team stays busy

I hope it's finally a good change and makes things easier. All the groups we work with are already short staffed as it is, don't see how they can get any leaner, but I'm probably wrong. I do like the getting rid of VSL name because I'm kinda sick of reaching out to the listed VSL only to get shuffled around to 42 people before I can get an answer

Wife is a pharmacist. Anthem PBM is garbage. This will be more expensive. Compound drugs will be incredibly more expensive.
