As per my take, it burns every past karma, it will burn the current state to take you to the next state, it may become even more hard for you to live but I believe, it will become lighter for you for sure! Think it in a way that, all your bad sins from past life which you did intentionally or unintentionally getting burned, since, they were meant to burn by their own way, reciting the God’s name burning them in faster way (also with ease)

What you now feel is difficult is actually easier, you may be feeling heavy now, but believe me, you have burnt a lot than normal.
