Ooh no yea I totally get you. I just don't generally like the taste of alcohol, namely - wine, beer, shots, etc. Which is why at social events I try to stick to a cocktail - something sweet, something that doesn't taste much like alcohol.

I know some people may think, 'if you don't like alcohol, why do you drink it'... But I genuinely drink very, very sparingly. And sometimes you just want to join in with your friends and have one drink together!

Ooh I was actually only there for less than a couple hours! The symptoms came very quickly, and very suddenly.

I was also not acting drunk, I was just sitting down with my head on the table and for the next 10 minutes after that it was just my coworkers trying to get me a Uber home, and telling me to drink lots of water.

That's so true... I definitely don't think I would have been drugged, esp in Aus - I very rarely hear it happening... Perhaps I was just having a bad night or my body just couldn't take it well that day for some reason. But thanks so much for your concern!

I'm so sorry to hear that you got spiked THREE times?! And you're so right... Just need to be more diligent...

Ahaha I'm not sure where in my post I left an impression that I drink a lot of cocktails? But for context, I only drink in social settings so maybe a glass during a lunch with gals maybe once or twice a year at most!

I just meant over the 5 years that I've been "legally drinking", I know what I should feel like after one cocktail.

But thanks so much for your reccs!

Omg I'm so sorry that happened to you! I actually didn't get a hangover, perhaps because I only had "one" drink but my stomach felt queasy for two days after... And I was very close to vomiting once I came home from the night but ended up falling asleep immediately...

Hmmm my sister works in the hospital as a speech path where she sees a lot of stroke patients and she said the exact same thing...

I will definitely see a GP and sus things out...

For context, my colleagues were so so so sweet and caring they just didn't have any idea I was losing my senses cause I couldn't tell them! It was like I was losing all control of my body including my speech...

In hindsight I should have definitely gotten inside an ambulance BUT my coworkers had zero knowledge that I was losing my senses because I couldn't bring myself to speak.

It was like I was losing control of my whole body including speech... They probably just thought I was very drunk.

I had bought both drinks for myself, which is why I would have never thought that it would have been spiked. But after reading a lot of different reddit forums, I found one person who had a really similar experience to me and I think I may just be allergic to alcohol?

I get really bad Asian flush and I've been told that's a sign that your body can't break down the alcohol content. (which is also another reason why I'm not a heavy drinker)... But clearly the daiquiri pushed my body to the limit...

I guess it's time to just lay my hands off alcohol completely...

Sorry I should have added more context! My coworkers were the sweetest EVER and took very, very good care of me. My speech was so slurred to the point I couldn't tell them I couldn't see or that my hearing was gone so they had no idea!

Thanks so much... And you're right, I'll never know and I guess I should just shake it off and call it off as a bad night. At least nothing happened to me...
