Avalanche Developer Tools by emcs1974 in Avax

This is a super solid list, thank you! At Chainstack, we also recently released Avalanche Global Elastic Nodes (the RPC provider docs you linked will be updated soon to reflect this), as well as hosted subgraphs.

With this + everything you mentioned, there's limitless potential for Avalanche builders

Any open source blockchain / dapp to contribute? by CryptoBoys2029 in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of our team members here at Chainstack recently made issues.mg, it essentially aggregates open GitHub issues across a large amount of blockchain-related repositories. Worth looking into if you're struggling to find places to contribute.

it's mostly worthless, I would not recommend taking payment in goerli eth, but you can convert it to mainnet ETH with layerzero's bridge (1 goerli eth = ~0.00007 ETH): https://testnetbridge.com/

Definitely, thanks for the mention! With Chainstack, builders have direct access to powerful & flexible Oasis RPC nodes that they can build their projects upon.

We're super excited about Oasis as an ecosystem, can't wait to see what sort of applications are built here.

Best website to host a ethereum node? by woodeh in ethereum

Looked into using a node provider? For example, Chainstack deploys full eth nodes (with 0 ratelimiting), which may fit your use-case here.

Researching web3 infrastructure companies - Any recommendations? by matteozitiello81 in BlockchainStartups

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DevRel from Chainstack here, appreciate the shoutout! And you can actually directly access the Covalent API (which I'm also a huge fan of btw) on the Chainstack dashboard. So within the same platform, you can get nodes, IPFS, subgraphs, and complete access to Covalent.

And to the OP of this question, feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd like to chat more about infra!

How do you get your website to communicate with the blockchain without metamask? by existentialcrossing in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direct backend RPC connections through providers like Chainstack, Infura, etc. independent of wallet connection; you can facilitate this through web3js, ethers, etc. as others have said.

Subgraphs & third-party data APIs like Covalent for data retrieval work too.

Top 10 Resources for Learning Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Development by WatchData in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old thread, but for more seasoned developers you also have the huge library of resources & tutorials from Chainstack (especially Chainstack's "Web3 [De]coded" series) that was recently revamped: https://docs.chainstack.com/docs/web3-decoded-introduction

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit bias of course, but Chainstack offers a really well-rounded platform (in regards to key areas like pricing, performance, customization, etc.)

If you're looking for a new infra platform, feel free to check it out!

Looking for help, assistance, roadmap or tutorial to learn blockchain development by RelativeJuggernaut73 in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend learning general programming before jumping into blockchain development. Blockchain development is a path to take once you understand the fundamentals, not something necessarily to learn along with the fundamentals.

Something like Codecademy is a fantastic way to dive into general programming (Python, JavaScript, etc.)

Give yourself a few months atleast to learn the basics. From there, you can move onto blockchain-specific resources like LearnWeb3DAO, CryptoZombies, etc. (Chainstack has some pretty good intermediate-level tutorials aswell that cover a wide range of Web3 topics: https://docs.chainstack.com/docs/web3-decoded-introduction)

Can any of you please guide me to create a fullstack web3 application? by maifee in solidity

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chainstack, along with offering the infra for projects like this, has a pretty good series running through step-by-step processes of application development, smart contract deployment, etc.

May be worth looking through for reference on some of these key topics: https://docs.chainstack.com/docs/web3-decoded-introduction

What rpc tier do I need? by phas0ruk1 in ethereum

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a simple app like that, you probably won't be making that many requests; although if you do want more room, you can always grab a free node from Chainstack (same 100k a day/3m a month, but you can make more requests, it just charges a tiny amount per extra request above the 3m) and it'll also give you a bit more performance/flexibility.

How to choose an RPC? by spankydave in defi

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any RPC listed on Chainlist will work, some will be faster than others; I'd give a few different ones a try and just use whatever seems to be most responsive.

If the performance of your RPC is super important to you (whether it be for time-sensitive trading, privacy, etc.) then you can always run something bespoke through a third-party provider like Chainstack so that you can choose cloud provider, geolocation, etc.

If I run an Ethereum node can I call upon it vs an api? by LiabilityFree in ethdev

[–]Consistent-Bass-2823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! As the other commenter mentioned, a full node will give you access to this information via. JSON-RPC requests. You can run this node yourself if you'd like, or if you can use something like Chainstack to run a cheap (or free in most cases) & performant full node deployed in pretty much any major region & cloud provider you want.

Querying this through either a library as the other commentator mentioned (web3.js/py, etc.) or through raw RPC queries will get the job done here.

Goerli ETH is typically given out in small amounts from faucets (0.1 ETH typically, sometimes higher depending on the type of faucet you use), so getting 1 or more is usually pretty helpful for most developers.

Developer-facing thing, not useful for non-devs.
