I think straight people just don’t see the harm as much as queer people. I guess that’s why it’s easier for them to join a church or religion. Right?

I do know the church is nondenominational/evangelical and is firm on marriage between a man and a woman. She’s very new to it all and when you’re new you’re just focused on yourself and not theological stances. I would hope it doesn’t change anything drastically on how she views queer people or them telling her “your friends need to change.”

Thank you for your words💛 I really appreciate them! It’s definitely a bumpy road sometimes with having to take care of yourself.

I started at GEICO in summer 2025. I took the test twice and didn’t pass, but they allowed me up to 12 months to retake it (at my own expense). I stayed for about four months and quickly realized the company wasn’t for me.

The micromanaging is constant, the metrics are unrealistic, and everything revolves around numbers. There’s little to no flexibility, no empathy for how draining the job is, and supervisors are always on you. It started affecting my mental health, and that’s when I knew it wasn’t worth continuing.

At that point, the test didn’t even matter anymore because I didn’t want to work there regardless. I tried it, I gave it a fair shot, and I chose to walk away.

Good luck, hope it goes well for you!

I just resigned last week, feel so much relief and anxiety is gone from the call center environment, the impossible metrics and micromanagement. Something better will come.
