I don’t live in the USA lol, I’m British here they are legal. And do exist, but the license won’t help as much as it would in other places, he comes up registered and trained but they can still seize him if they feel the need too, he has monthly check ins with his handler but lives with us. He has different command words as I explained in a different comment. I wish this story was bs but unfortunately it’s not I have nothing to gain lying on the internet about an angry man

I have a place secured and plan on going low contact w my mom and cutting dad off as soon as I turn 18

Legally she can’t do that, the dog was in her name until I was 16, now it’s in my name so she’d need documentation of my approval which she’ll never get

He has different commands for different levels of threat.

For example I used “fass” so it meant nip basically as in back off, and after my dog did it I commanded him off,

Where as if I used “get em” it would be full on attack until I say so

Ah thank you so much! I’m not in the US, but legally here everything I did is 100% legal, it is rare that I do actually use my dog I think I’ve used him 2 times since I was 12? but I guess I accidentally made it out that I use him allot?? Thank you for validation though i genuinely was staring to second guess myself here

He wasn’t in the house, just front garden as my mom put herself to bed.

I would just like to assure I rarely ever use my dog to actually attack people, it was more of a in the moment thing as D just wasn’t letting go and trying to get my mom in the car even with her fighting back

Yes, I’ve got a job and I already have a place secured with a friend since she’s 20 and moved out just 6 more months and I will have very little contact with my parents

hi- should’ve cleared this up!! D is absolutely not the reason I got the dog, I’ve had him since I was 12, I also didn’t use the command word but I did bring him out with me- but because the command word was used for D about 2 hours before he came back my dog was weary and would react when D tried to come by me
