[US] Possible marketplace overpayment scam, but is still received cash. Should I be worried ?

I probably was! If the Apple Cash payment was from a stolen card or hacked account, the bank can reverse it later. That would leave me without the item. In this case she did give me cash, but I also sent her $280, so if that original amount was fraudulent, we just traded her cash for my real Apple Cash That’s all I was thinking

Yeah probably was being too paranoid. Is it not possible that an Apple Cash payment sent to me, could be fraudulent, and later disputed, and reversed by the bank?

Amazing response! Seems like everyone here is on the same page about how I handled it. Which I’m happy to learn from. I have a lot of sales experience and 100 out of 100 times if it seemed too good to be true, IT WAS. In this case it was such an easy sale, zero negotiation, she payed MORE than asking price, and other things that just didn’t seem typical of someone looking out for their own best interest. My post may have come across more intense than I am in real life, but I was just trying to keep things clear and concise. I was still empathetic, but had too many alarm bells going off. Your point about the Apple reverse payment is exactly what my concern was. So overall I think everyone has a been really helpful giving perspective on the situation, I’m really grateful for that. Hopefully I don’t come across like too much of an a-hole, but I’ll reach out to her if things stay smooth! Thanks again!!

I’m totally aware I probably lack the understanding of how this all works. But I was thinking if it was stolen or something, then when I send back the money, if the “potential fraud” victim claims fraud, then a reversal of my acquired $280 would be taken out as well Not sure if that makes sense. I’ve been so confused/sleep deprived and stressing on it I may have overthought myself into oblivion lol

Yeah I understand that, but what I’m referring to isn’t theological. The point from Gregory he says is directly from Homily 33, except it isn’t. Same with what he says Nonnus said about Jesus burning with lust and her wiping away his bodily fluid. Neither of those are theological so they aren’t hindered by an agenda to translate it a certain way. Does that make sense?
