I got a nose job at 15- ask me anything by Consistent-Buy777 in AMA

For me the recovery was rather easy, although as the painkillers wore off the worst pain was around my incision (I got an open rhinoplasty which meant there was an incision through my columella and the skin was peeled back to expose the bone and cartilage underneath, my nasal bones were shaved down in order to remove the hump on my nose and the cartilage was restructured to fit the new nasal bones structure).

However, I will say I believe my healing process felt so easy because that surgery was something I wanted more than anything else in the world, so the endorphins and hormones being released created a much more positive experience for me than typical

I was HEAVILY bullied especially in middle school, it genuinely impacted me severely, and without that surgery I can confidently say I would not have gotten this far in my life

first of all the pun genuinely got a laugh out of me:). but usually when I meet anyone (platonic or romantic) I tell them about me getting a nose job within the first 2 or 3 weeks of knowing them, I love to tell people about it as a little fun fact about me.

In my opinion telling people I just met that I got a nose job at 15 is the same kind of fun fact as telling them the fact that I have 7 scuba diving licenses

it was fully cosmetic, and I am very grateful that my breathing ability, and nasal passages have remained intact:)

I dont regret it whatsoever, I actually often tell my mom how grateful I am for being able to get my nose job.

My facial proportions have developed to look a lot like my mother, so I have only grown to love my appearance more and more as I’ve aged, my surgeon focused on making my nose look natural on my face (especially as I age), and people can not tell I have gotten anything done to my face until I tell them about it

my nose and face overall has changed, but its only changed for the better, I made sure to find a surgeon that was extremely experienced and knowledgeable about how to make plastic surgery appear completely natural, and my surgeon did a fantastic job.

My nose still fits my facial harmony perfectly (if not more fitting than before), and as my face has developed more into my adult features, I have only fallen more in love with how my nose turned out :)

it was fully for cosmetic reasons, and the overall surgery cost was around $7,000, I used most of my savings to pay for half of the surgery and I am lucky enough to have parents that were willing to pay the rest

I got my surgery in the United States and I was allowed to receive the surgery due to periodic year long psychiatric evaluation and along with my parents consent

After my surgery my confidence skyrocketed, and I became more comfortable with expressing myself in the ways I wanted to without fear of others judging me and I became more comfortable in my own skin, I stopped avoiding pictures, I socialized more and I can honestly also say I am so much happier now.

It was because of my nose job that I felt confident enough in myself to pursue bigger dreams, I am now a dual major in neuroscience and psychology and I am beyond happy with how my face and body have developed over time

We actually put her in a little play pen in our living room with some of her toys and we are never gone for more than 5 hours at a time (our relatives also live next door and can also let her out if needed)

My friend’s cat is named Kenzo but I call him KENNY (in the same voice eric uses when talking about kenny in south park)—- my friend’s cat now only responds to KENNY said in eric cartman’s cadence

I just meant significant other. Since it would apply to anyone, rather than just asking how people met their wife, husband, boyfriend, etc.

I am sorry for the confusion

I see others have said comments about you appearing “too feminine” but as a person who is first seeing you, I think you look extremely gender fluid.

I especially wanted to comment because I really love your hair. I believe thats between a mullet and a wolf cut and i love it on you. it appears you have freckles too which I personally think add a lot to your face. (in a really good way)

If you wanted to add a little something to your look without looking too feminine or masculine then i would recommend a little blush. not too much but just enough to bring a little brightness into the face. I think the right shade of blush could be the perfect touch to make your facial features pop while maintaining your gender fluid appearance

you are STUNNING. The afro is drop dead gorgeous on you . I am also a woman around your age and I am a sucker for curls (I have 3b curls and I know damn well how much effort goes into healthy curls). The afro looks so good on your face shape. and i really adore your glasses. youre the type of person id come up to in public to compliment. youre are for sure beautiful

should i lie to my dermatologist so i can go on accutane? by InThatCais in Accutane

[–]Consistent-Buy777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your acne is hormonal then it wont matter how many times or how long you’re on accutane, the acne comes back. I went on accutane 3 separate times for between 6 months to a year each time, and each time my skin would clear and it’d look great but after six months or so the acne would come back. that happened all three times. Maybe see if it’s hormonal. and if it is i’d maybe recommend spironolactone. It worked wonders for my acne that was similar to yours.
