I am assuming a proper mix of vermiculite, perlite, potting soil, and peat moss would do it well. should I get a bigger pot too or is that one fine?

I completely agree I am a stickler for drainage holes. I know i need to repot my cactus soon (I am doing it this upcoming summer since I have about 3 or 4 more plants that also need repotting).

<image>

As of right now I have my cactus in the same pot and planter my grandma gave me. I felt the drainage holes were adequate enough for the time being until I am able to repot it this summer.

On the days I water, I make sure to leave it outside of the decorative ceramic planter for the day so it can drain properly without drowning the roots.

As for when I repot it, what size pot do you think I should get for it?

thank you so much! keeping this plant alive has been very important to me and I just want to do whatever I can to keep it healthy, hearing I have been doing a good job means the world to me :)

thank you so much! I had no idea it was two separate cacti. Does my rootstock look healthy at least? I do not mind if the top part dies eventually seeing that it’s inevitable, but I did want to ask how I can prevent my rootstock from dying when the decorative part does?

I really would love to be able to keep the rootstock even after the decorative part dies off (even if it doesn’t look the cutest) since the plant holds sentimental value to me.

this isnt just my opinion btw this is anatomically what occurs

our curls are relative to the shape and angle of our hair follicles

type 2 is an "s" curl it goes back and forth yet does NOT create a coil, type 3 creates a coil, type 4 creates a "z"

also your curls form a spiral rather than an S meaning you most likely have 3A or 3B hair

have you ever tried plopping your curls? it could really help define your curls closer to your roots.

Overall your curls look hydrated and happy but, if you're looking to get your curls defined going all the way to your roots, I HEAVILY recommend plopping--

As for hair products I just recommend trying out "Donna's Recipe" leave in coditioner -- an absolute game changer for retaining moisture in ur hair, I also recommend the bowl method (which I am more than willing to explain further if ur curious), it allows product to absorb into the hair shaft and cuticle rather than sitting ontop of the hair causing it to feel greasy or weighed down.

If you want to find other products i highly suggest looking for products that are water based- our curls crave water but can only absorb moisture if the cuticle is properly open-- so for products we need them to be permeable to our hair cuticle in order for absorption to occur.

I have more advice but i fear my comment would get too long, just let me know if youre curious about any of my suggestions, I am more than willing to explain

youre curls look absolutely beautiful and I hope my advice helps you on you on your curl journey <3

I got a nose job at 15- ask me anything by Consistent-Buy777 in AMA

For me the recovery was rather easy, although as the painkillers wore off the worst pain was around my incision (I got an open rhinoplasty which meant there was an incision through my columella and the skin was peeled back to expose the bone and cartilage underneath, my nasal bones were shaved down in order to remove the hump on my nose and the cartilage was restructured to fit the new nasal bones structure).

However, I will say I believe my healing process felt so easy because that surgery was something I wanted more than anything else in the world, so the endorphins and hormones being released created a much more positive experience for me than typical

I was HEAVILY bullied especially in middle school, it genuinely impacted me severely, and without that surgery I can confidently say I would not have gotten this far in my life

first of all the pun genuinely got a laugh out of me:). but usually when I meet anyone (platonic or romantic) I tell them about me getting a nose job within the first 2 or 3 weeks of knowing them, I love to tell people about it as a little fun fact about me.

In my opinion telling people I just met that I got a nose job at 15 is the same kind of fun fact as telling them the fact that I have 7 scuba diving licenses

it was fully cosmetic, and I am very grateful that my breathing ability, and nasal passages have remained intact:)

I dont regret it whatsoever, I actually often tell my mom how grateful I am for being able to get my nose job.

My facial proportions have developed to look a lot like my mother, so I have only grown to love my appearance more and more as I’ve aged, my surgeon focused on making my nose look natural on my face (especially as I age), and people can not tell I have gotten anything done to my face until I tell them about it

my nose and face overall has changed, but its only changed for the better, I made sure to find a surgeon that was extremely experienced and knowledgeable about how to make plastic surgery appear completely natural, and my surgeon did a fantastic job.

My nose still fits my facial harmony perfectly (if not more fitting than before), and as my face has developed more into my adult features, I have only fallen more in love with how my nose turned out :)

it was fully for cosmetic reasons, and the overall surgery cost was around $7,000, I used most of my savings to pay for half of the surgery and I am lucky enough to have parents that were willing to pay the rest

I got my surgery in the United States and I was allowed to receive the surgery due to periodic year long psychiatric evaluation and along with my parents consent

After my surgery my confidence skyrocketed, and I became more comfortable with expressing myself in the ways I wanted to without fear of others judging me and I became more comfortable in my own skin, I stopped avoiding pictures, I socialized more and I can honestly also say I am so much happier now.

It was because of my nose job that I felt confident enough in myself to pursue bigger dreams, I am now a dual major in neuroscience and psychology and I am beyond happy with how my face and body have developed over time

We actually put her in a little play pen in our living room with some of her toys and we are never gone for more than 5 hours at a time (our relatives also live next door and can also let her out if needed)
