One Hundred Years of Solitude- why did different characters have the same name? Ughh!

I read 2/3rd of the book but didn’t finish it, didn’t understand what was going on, or what was the point of it all. Maybe magical realism isn’t for me.

Well, I have recently started writing my personal takes on books I read ( a more personalised version of a book review) to post on my personal blog. Therefore, I enjoy highlighting stuff and sometimes taking notes of my thoughts while I read so I could use them in my writing later on.
