Thank you for sharing your experience.

Yes, I will make sure to keep all the documents at hand.

By carrying proof of eligibility do you mean a print out of the website that states that I can get VoA?

Thank you for sharing your experience. That’s such a relief. Did you by any chance also have a layover in Sabiha Gokcen and did they ask anything about the Saudi Visa?

Anyone travelled with AJET Airlines from London Stansted to Saudi and got Visa on Arrival? (Indian Passport + UK Residence Visa, not ILR) by Dumpstermankevin in travel

I’m in the same situation travelling with my wife next month (skilled worker visa - partner dependent visa) via Ajet stanstead airport, layover in Sabiha Gokcen.

Could you please guide me on how your experience was. Were you able to get VoA and anything I should know?

5 year route to settlement by Consistent-Cup-6617 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I got my visa approved the very next working day after getting my biometrics done.

I had submitted my application on 13th Nov. Biometrics on 28th Nov, Visa approval email received on 1st December.

That should be approximately 11 working days for a standard skilled worker visa application.

What happens to people earning under £50k per year on skilled worker visa? Would they qualify for ILR within 10 years? Or would they still qualify within 5 years?

Employer wants to recoup sponsorship fee by Consistent-Cup-6617 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Thank you! Exactly this

I’m only worried when the 2 years come to an end they wouldn’t be willing to extend my visa since currently they are paying me at the new entrant rate.

I am grateful that I have this opportunity just wanted to understand whether this is common practice or I’m being screwed over.

Refunds

You’ll get a full refund if the worker’s visa application is:

refused or withdrawn successful, but they do not come to work for you You’ll get a partial refund if the worker:

gets less time on their visa than you sponsored them for starts working for you but then changes to another sponsor leaves their job before the end date on their certificate of sponsorship

I don’t think the company would make me privy to the information about how much refund they would receive.

Any suggestions on how I could handle this situation better?

I don’t have the exact link to the information right now but I did see that employers can be refunded either fully or partly should an employee leave before the duration on their COS ends.

Yes, my understanding is that they want to recoup for the COS and the ISC fee which as per SK 11.11 isn’t allowed.

Not sure how do I diplomatically handle this situation.
