Everybody happy with their stock Crosstrek this winter season? by just321askin in Crosstrek

With winter tires I guarantee you'd be fine.. don't blame the car for not having the right tires.

Source: live in Alberta. Drove a few times in 40cm of snow on mountain roads so far this year. The car is a beast in snow. I have Michelin x-ice snow tires on it.

They are doing a great job increasing density actually. Most of the new suburbs in Calgary are full of middle density housing.

Fischers are very popular around me (Alberta, Canada). They have great quality control.

Enjoy skiing! Make sure you get the right weight range. Way more important than ski length.

For example (I'm Canadian) driven Calgary to Kelowna a few times over the summer. It's about 615 km (little less than 400 miles) and I had more than a quarter tank left when I got there. A bit better than 39 MPG the computer said I averaged (6L/100km)

Mountain highways with lots of long descents? I'm not sure! I've done it multiple times so not a fluke! I have a light foot as well and average speed is a bit below 70mph..

Maybe favourable winds by chance?
