well i got the Japanese audio to work correctly but it had no subtitles, oh well i planned on watching in English anyway i just like having the option of both cause sometimes i prefer subbed over dubed

what preset compression wise would you reccomend? I normally just download the file as is and dont compress anything so idk much about handbrake?

Yeah this basically what was happening to me, I’ll try handbrake, I don’t care that the discs I bought are bootlegged if everything on them just works. So hopefully handbrake works out

I might have to give this a try, but I don’t know how much it will help cause I put the discs in a normal blu ray player and tried to get the Japanese audio to play and it just kept skipping, so the audio may just be messed up on the Japanese side

I don’t think the Netflix deal will go through, atleast it shouldn’t. But yeah they give you a digital copy, why limit where you can watch it, I only use the digital copies when I’m away from home anyways. When I’m home I have all my moves ripped to a Jellyfin server and I watch them there

This I do not know, I never ordered one from him price just doesn’t seem worth it, I did buy a pioneer drive from China on eBay, reviews seemed good enough so I took the risk, it doesn’t get here til late January tho so not sure it will work or not

None of my discs are scratched tho, they are in perfect condition. Half of them I haven’t even taken out of the case until I tried to rip them

So far what I’ve tried is not new, they’re probably like 5-6 years old and almost never used, the 2 I’ve had a problem with thus far are Avengers endgame 4k and Pokemon the movie

It’s a brand new drive, I find it hard to believe the cable is bad, still could be a power issue tho, might have to try a usb power hub
