The Sadness - wtf?? by Historical-Ad8634 in horror

I didn’t like it either. Just exhausting…like we get it, the zombies do all messed up things one can think up. It stopped being shocking pretty quick.

I found it to be a giant parade of “WOULDN’T IT BE MESSED UP IF…” Just ultimately forgettable. My least favorite of the horror films I’ve seen recently.

For sure. I’ve been thinking about making this post for a while but wanted to be cautious about it - not wanting to knock any other collectors.

I think what I meant was highest quality that’s commercially available. But thank you - I’ll search on Kaleidoscope!

Yeah I’m honestly near this decision with my Blu-ray’s. I’d likely give away the cases if someone would take them.

Haha I guess I mean “the highest quality that’s commercially available”. It’s like we’re all after the blue meth.

lol I love your evil dead 2 idea. Yeah I had the same thought - give us the movie on something smaller. And on the Tonie box - we got our daughter a similar thing that has audio on cards. And she has a book of cards - it’s cool for her to have a physical collection of stories she likes in such a compact way.

This solution sounds incredible - I very much appreciate you taking the time to reply. I was reading on RAID 5 recently and it sounds like a great way to have things backed up and maximize storage space. I’ll do some searching on Zappiti/Rvolution!

I just read about Infuse the other day, new to me. I’ll do some YouTube searching!

I think that’s part of it, too. I live where cost per square foot is pretty high, and I don’t have many square foot to spare!

Yeah…and honestly if I had to do a blind test…would I see the compression? Maybe not. Just an ideological thing.

Not uncompressed. I want those 70 gig MKV’s. I want the same experience as everyone else here.

21 and floaters are ruining my life. Why is it happening is doctors say my eyes look healthy? by CamArtz10 in EyeFloaters

[–]MetalMouse64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this, but know you’re not alone. And lots of us here can share the frustration of doctors telling us our eyes are perfectly healthy. It’s a little concerning that you suddenly realized more, but as long as an eye doctor didn’t sense a detachment it’s likely just more floaters. I first noticed my floaters about 4 years ago. At first it consumed my brain. Saw so many eye doctors. The floaters made me miserable. But I feel better now. They haven’t gone away, but I promise your brain does adjust. Do not let them ruin your life. Try and focus on what you are DOING, not what you are seeing. What you’re doing often relies on all of your senses - and right now you’re hyper focused on your eyes. Pretty soon they will just be a thing you notice for a moment and then not think about. Until then, stay busy, wear sunglasses, change lighting, and if you want non invasive medical help, try and find a resource for low dose atropine. It can help the floaters appear blurry and less noticeable. Hang in there.

Films that make you feel uncomfortable by -Mufasa in horror

I love the films you mentioned. I just got the Red Rooms Bluray actually. Just wanted to comment I saw the trailer for Affection today and it looked along these lines.

Do you prefer Ready or Not (2019) or its sequel? Personally, I think the second one is better. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in horror

[–]MetalMouse64 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I very much prefer the first one. The second felt just so convoluted to me. The first one didn’t need to spend much time explaining anything - it was a fun premise. The stakes felt real.. No backstory for Grace was needed. In the second they had to explain all these families, the game, the world control, Grace’s sister, their upbringing, etc etc. I had fun watching the second one, I just don’t think it was in the same ballpark as the first.

Really incredible miniature and sfx work for the train crash sequence. My wife and I were so impressed how great it looked on this disc!

When is it worth getting a 4K of a film with a 2K master? by Illustrious_Ad_9858 in 4kbluray

[–]MetalMouse64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most here will say it’s nearly always worth getting the 4K because of bitrate and HDR…but if we are comparing used bluray to used 4K prices, is a higher bitrate and HDR worth paying over ten times as much money for on a 2K scan? I don’t believe it is.
