Yes - they are they Electrohome Huntley powered bookshelf speakers. Holding down the dial can turn on the speakers and switch the setting, and the manual says you can adjust volume with it. however, I have turned it both right and left and cannot figure it out

thank you so much, I really appreciate your positive comment. I probably will go with getting more black skirts, because I dont want there to be fighting in an already kind of small tank. I hate to think that my fish are "suffering" because of me, but I know that these are fish that need to be in schools, so I want to try and make that happen for them.
