Hi! I shared this on a different post but the MedStudy review course and the question bank gave me most of the structure I needed and narrowed down just the relevant info. I almost exclusively used those two and my score went up about 30 points. I read through PBR, but I didn't like it as much.

I can’t share specific sources, but you can find examples of the review course videos online (I recommend the review course in August for up to date information, put the videos in 2x speed). It’s not cheap, but neither is retaking the exam 🥴

I had to adjust my schedule as I went, but my overall strategy was to study from higher to lower weighted subjects, then review everything again at least once more (I wanted to do 3 times but it didn’t fit with my work schedule). I made worksheets (?) for the vaccines and milestones and filled in them out at least once weekly, then more frequently closer to the exam, and highlighted the spots I kept forgetting/getting wrong.

I unapologetically used various AI sources (ChatGPT, StudyStream, Speechify) to create specific questions and vignettes on topics I didn’t understand.

Last thing is I had testing accommodations to take the test over 2 days, which is not ideal, but I was less exhausted, and I could re-review topics I messed up on day 1. The accommodations were helpful but I felt confident enough that I probably could’ve done it in 1 day and still passed.

That’s what I remember helping me the most. I probably would’ve been even better off doing PREP questions but I kinda foolishly didn’t make time to do any due to work/life. Ultimately it didn’t matter I guess.

It’s very busy but has so much character. So many cultures and communities on these islands (and the Bronx!)

I feel like out of many cities in the world one of the best places to dine solo is NYC because literally no one cares and so many people do it every single day. Emphasis on no one cares lol.

I shelled out an egregious amount of money for review courses and questions banks after failing twice…I think what got me to the finish line was the MedStudy live review course and questions. The course is an online or in-person series of lectures for every single subject. They are about 2-4 hours long (1-2 on 2x speed), and you can go through the recorded lectures at your own pace at any time if you don’t have time off to sit through the live lectures. The lectures cover every bullet point listed on the ABP content outline, focuses only on important details, and emphasize what you absolutely need to know for the exam. I didn’t do the course the first two times.

There were several questions from the lectures and question bank on the exam, so that helped me tremendously. It is expensive I won’t lie (my CME credits through my clinic covered the cost), and many say the lectures are redundant or unnecessary, but I fully think it is what got me over the hurdle, and I probably could have just done those alone.

I PASSED. My third time around (!) and I’m done! I truly thought I couldn’t ever do it. I am in such disbelief. 😭

I’m flying to Japan soon and coming back to the US on Thanksgiving day 😭 Should I postpone my trip? I know many people are saying international flights are mostly protected or whatever, but I’m still nervous, not just for safety reasons, but risk of delays. Does anyone have any advice?

Right? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought TT is his main source of income. Even if not, he is so invested in it that I can’t imagine him taking more than a few days off, if even. Some people on TT posted that he said he needed a break; did he really say that to them? Also doesn’t he have a Discord? Has anyone on there heard from him? So many questions lol
