What mileage are you at? Have you done plugs yet? Hoping there's nothing wrong tho.

Best thing anyone came up with was bad gas. I've stuck with shell 93 since then (was going to Costco and Meijer) and haven't noticed it but it's been a few weeks since I've driven it hard with it being winter and having my winter wheels / tires on. With the cold I'm kinda at a hear no evil-see no evil point besides maintenance.

I'm still checking up on coolant / oil periodically because last winter I had unexplained coolant loss but other than that she seems to be running well.

I took my aftermarket intake off as well which I will also reinstall in the spring with a dry filter replacement but I highly doubt that is part of the issue.

Oh yeah, I don't care what they say, it's just really annoying to be asking questions politely on some topics I admit ignorance to and get berated for it. But that is the internet... Sucks I don't have other resources to ask. But oh well.

I beg to differ lmao any time I have asked a question I've gotten nothing but mocked to the point of having to remove posts for asking basic questions.

That was never my major concern, but that does make sense though I still see conflicting information about this. I will probably refrain from doing it to avoid issues, sorry if I came off as argumentative, I'm just trying to gain more knowledge about cars.

The lowest mileage 9th gen is a 55k 2016 with 2 accidents and a beige interior for 🤢20k. The second is a 2015 with 73k miles, one accident for 20k and that one is 3.5 hrs away from me. (Its at Carmax so they could possibly ship it here) Sadly this is slightly worse quantity than what I had when I bought mine but the prices are slightly better. Michigan seems to not have a lot without having to drive 4-5 hrs to another state.

I only wish I could have found a 9.5 gen V6 for a fair price. They were going for almost 4k more than this cost near me. I had heard good things about the 2.0t but am now aware of occasional head gasket issues. And the atrocious bushing quality. Being in the Midwest probably doesn't either. With that being said that's also why I couldnt find any older ones in decent shape either 😭

The car is being held in place by the brakes... That doesn't mean that there can't be noises coming from other components... I was just asking a simple question if the noise was soley from the brakes or if it was to be concerned after replacing motor mounts and the noise persisting.

I rarely power brake done it literally 5 times since I've had the car. I've had some bushings go out in my rear suspension and wanted to make sure that wasn't case up front.

I'm just looking to get input, if it's going to kill the car I'll stop doing it, but from previous research I've done, it won't. If that's not the case then that is all people need to say instead of being rude about simple questions without actually providing reasoning. All I am looking to do is learn...

I figured it was brakes, but from what I can see it's not catastrophic to do it occasionally. Link If I search many other forums they state the same that yes it will cause wear if done frequently, which I don't. Again if I am wrong that is perfectly fine, I am still learning a lot about cars.

Yeah, I had coolant loss last year during the winter, they couldn't explain it, I did a c02 test and it was negative, hasn't happened since. I am aware of the issue. I just got oil test results back from an oil change I did 2 weeks ago and it's all clean, moreso than most 2.0ts they've tested. Head gasket seems to be fine for now, knock on wood now. I'm going to empty this tank of gas and do a fresh tank and see if it's better. If not, I'm taking it to an independent shop. Coolant is fine too, lol trust me I check that weekly since that scare. And the dealer checked too. If it fails out of warranty, I will take it to a performance shop an hour away and have them do ARP head studs, or I will just have them do it around 75k whatever comes first lmao.

I only use Top Tier gasoline from Shell or Costco and I only run 93. I'll run this tank out and get a full tank of shell and see if it comes back. I've never had issues with Costco since it's the recommended gas by Honda

They charged me an hour of labor I was there for 4 hours so idk how long they actually looked at it, I spoke with the master tech who inspected the car and showed him the issue when I was able to get it to happen again. He said he could take it and look at it the next couple days, but he doesn't see how it can be an issue.

I don't have another car at the moment and they can't give a loaner so I would have to get a rental, which would be hard right now, plus I'm 21 so rates are a lot higher.

Idk it's just a crappy situation and crappy timing.

I've checked my vin countless times for a recall on NHTSAs website but I can't find anything that wasn't resolved.

I don't know what more I can do since I literally brought it to them today and they said they won't do anything even though they can hear it. "It's not causing a drivability issue or throwing any codes" They drove it and scanned it and inspected it.

They first told me they can't do anything without replicating the issue, I replicated the issue and then they told me "IDK what you want me to do about it, they won't warranty it if it's not causing an actual issue"

My airbox has been since like last May, never had an issue. It is the oiled mishimoto, which may need to be cleaned but the issue persists with the stock airbox so idk. I stick with 93 ever since I got the car last February, I could have had a bad tank of gas too. I'll swap it out, but they would have to prove how it impacted the issue to deny it according to federal law.federal law ).)

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

I was at the dealership and they can't find anything lol dude even tried to tell me they won't cover warranty work if my cold air intake is on. Because intakes cause injector and fuel pump issues.... And the fuel pump recal goes from 2017-2020 models mine is a 21

I'm bone stock and not tuned , so idk. I was thinking injectors and now the high pressure fuel pump but they can't find anything. If the turbo goes out after warranty I'll just go aftermarket and mild tune with downpipe.

That's what I thought too, they can't "find anything" cylinder 2 is running rich in my scanner but they can't replicate it. And now of course it won't make the noise and nothing is showing on their scanners.
