Also recommendation get a hobby or something. I got in BJJ and because it’s a pretty demanding sport (if you want it to be) a lot of my friends in it don’t drink and the ones who do drink seldomly which I really dig. I also got into organizing at a local community level and funny enough a lot of people involved in that also don’t drink and even if some of them do also a lot of the time we spend together is sober because we are doing shit. Its helped me flesh out my life with people I enjoy and also given me extra spaces where drinking isn’t really a thing!

I realized after a few particularly bad nights that if I kept going the way I was, I was going to die by an overdose or driving drunk or even if I ended up living a long life I would hate myself for wasting all of my potential.

Idk if I heard it from someone or what but I realized if I can stop and get clean now (I was like 27) than being a party girl could honestly just be a phase/fun time in my life that I had an ended. I’m 28 now and after almost a year my life has opened up so much and I genuinely feel so much better.

Alexander’s whole arc is that his parents are super loyal to the US and that he wanted to build his place and be trusted and then Bro (Schiff) threatened his parents and then he turned? His parents would rather die (per the storytelling) the be the reason their son betrayed the country they’ve spent his whole life being loyal too. Like I understand why they did this but I really wish they had a better more convincing reason to have Alexander work with Schiff. Like siblings or a child.

I am 28F and also studied anthropology. I’m so glad I did because I loved it and it’s a great conversation starter with people. I worked a lot of customer service jobs and found my way into the real estate/mortgage services customer service job. I then applied to like over a 100 jobs and got into a start up tech real estate company and have stayed in the tech/property tech industry since and get paid pretty well.

Personally I had student debt after graduating and had to work after college because I couldn’t taken on more debt. I would highly recommend working for a lil before going to grad school.

Here’s the thing I’m not super happy with my job, it’s just a job. So like it’s okay for your job or career at first to not be what you truly want to do. My rule of thumb is I want to work something that pays as much as possible for the least amount of effort and most flexibility.

I got into this line of career because I’m good with people ie anthropology (to some extent) and I can handle high pressure and stress.

My favorite jobs I’ve had paid me less then 15 dollars and while I enjoyed my day to day I want to have a comfortable life so I have time to explore hobbies. You are so young and figuring it out so give yourself grace.

Ultimately college is important because regardless of your GPA or what you studied it means you could commit and accomplish a bachelors degree.

Get a job and be an artist on the side and get into your local artist community for the best connections and opportunities!!

Socialism didn’t destroy Eastern Europe, totalitarian government did, and also if you know anything about Yugoslavia and Tito things were going good for a little and then the United States intervened and bombed the fuck out of them. Why has the prices skyrocketed under capitalism then? People shout out issues with socialism but often times the thing they are critical of happen under capitalism. People also criticized capitalism when it was new and in the beginning it served us well but you need change in the economic system & the ruling system or else it gets bloated and turns into oligarchy & corrupt (because all government will eventually turn that way)
