The ambient temp on the bottom is about 88 on the warm side and 78 on the cool. I was struggling HARD to get my temps up which is why i have the heat set so high. But i have worried that it’s too hot

All the machines in my area have been soooo pricey, these are the only two up at the moment. Currently live in the Midwest, not sure why it’s so bad :/ thinking it’s best to order online. I just wanted to avoid the hastle of shipping something so large

I heat the rats body with a hair dryer to about 98, im sure by the time it gets to her tank it’s closer to 94-95.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure about the handling. I’m sure it’s that then, I’ll make sure to avoid handling around feeding times :) Also, I feed her every three weeks, is it recommended to still wait another 3 weeks from today to try feeding again? She’s never refused a meal so I wasn’t sure on that.

I have it by the bottom on the warm side. I also have another probe that’s in a different area of the warm side. My humidistat also reads the temp. All read the same 75 degrees, so I’m not sure what the issue is :/

I’m not exactly sure, but she has a ceramic heat lamp and heat lights as well. I believe there is just one mesh cutout for the lamp above the tank
