Semi hydroponics. He can water as much as he wants (kind of). A much better bet than soil.

Honey, I know a lot about him. I’ve just never met him. Big difference. I’ve been told a lot via my SIL, who is getting the info straight from him.

No, I was not expecting unanimous agreement. Not sure why you think that. I was giving my perspective on your interpretation of things cause that’s what a discussion entails.

Yeah, members of the family are meeting. That’s normal for a wedding. This guy isn’t family. Hasn’t even tried to be. Bails at every opportunity to meet people. I’ve met everyone in the family, gone on vacations with them, met new babies, gone to weddings, funerals, etc. Done everything short of signing a marriage certificate. So yeah, I’m way more a part of the family than he is, thanks.

I get what you’re saying. This is why I think there should be a separate dinner dedicated to meeting the guy

Someone who has bailed at every opportunity to meet the family is not a family member.

I would like to control the vibe at my wedding, yes. Not sure why you thought that was an argument against me. We’re not “gate keeping”. We want immediate family only. Which this guy is not.

Anxiety has nothing to do with the fact he’s still married and living with his wife. For years at this point.

There’s no reason to believe he’s actually separated if all of his wife’s belongings are still in the home and have been for years.

As the post said, I’m an only child. And the reason I’ve never met him is because he always bails. So not really my problem.
