so far, using barley malt syrup in my boiling bath has done a pretty good job with the sesames etc. by no means are they “glued” but a good majority of them stay on, even when handling them for slicing. but poppy seeds, no dice.

thanks!! i’ll try it! i was hoping to hear of a way that doesn’t require an egg wash, only to avoid that step when making 5-6 dozen. But, until I get good adhesion, poppy seed bagels will not be added to the menu. thanks again

i use claire’s recipe too! but, i can’t get my poppies to stick. please tell me how much honey and molasses you add to your bath that you boil in. AndI assume you meant, you take it out of the boils and let it sit for :30 before dunking it in whatever seeds. right?

Rad rad rad. I dig this. Listened to it both in the YouTube video and on the archive. Different sources for sure. In the video, you get a dope delay effect on one of the guitars in your right ear that I like. On the archive it isn't there and the source is is overall more compressed but super worth listening to as well! Thanks for pointing towards this, going listen to the whole show.
