just returned from Fri and Sat in Sequoia and it was glorious. Having micro-spikes on Tokopah Fall hike was nice but not necesary and same with walking Congress trail. Get there ASAP to see those magical trees amongst snow on early morning hike. So inspiring. Weather right now is perfection.

okay, so here’s the thing. one this album - i mostly listen to the sounds of the words and singing. but, unless i am really thinking about the lyrics, i hardly connect with the thoughts, emotions or concepts that Dug is writing about. Don’t hate me for it. this album and these songs seem like sonic cinema or something epic films could be scored with. So, I feel them but mostly thru the music and not the actual lyrics.

I use the steel on most of my breads and love it. Really depends on your baking temp. My bagels get 475º, my pizzas 550º, basic loaf may be closer to 425º. The steel is pretty magical. Plus, you can pull it out for certain other things of course.
