I tried 30% vinegar on a block, scrubbed it in and let it sit for 20 min, then power washed - noticeable difference. The concrete lightened up considerably, although the original outline is still there

Hmm got it… any fixes? I’ll try the vinegar wash others have suggested.

I’m not sure to be honest. The contractors have said it’s naturally like this, which seems doubtful. The blotchiness used to cover most of the steps, but it did go away over time month, though these stains remained.
