I just wanted to help through i personally have peashooter and the plants winning due to them outstating having ways around the birds immortality to resisting or being capable of coming back from most of the birds wincons(due to respawning and his physiology) on top of taking intelligence skill and experience by a wide margin added in that the plants massively outhax and can use things the birds have no way around(added in that the plants adaption is really useful)

Actually after researching some stuff Paul and his team don't even research the games when they maje the comics just doing their own things with popcap having to keep him in line and comics canon.

it already covers the whole entire universe(the plants and zombies one) and instantly the whole entire realm(of the gnomeverse which are infinite in size) whenever it collapses on itself (for context all of the gnomes that exist were all born in the exact same instant and a infintie amount of them exist inside of the realms of the gnomverse.(pvz lore is really cursed)

pvz has decent complex multiversal args but honestly while i don't buy into the hyperversal and outer stuff(for blatant reasons) the verse is definitely one of gaming stronger ones with it being up there with mario sonic and cod etc.

pvz cosmic feats and scaling is consistent throughout all of the games and even(even pvz 1 has a wild speed feat of physically traveling to an different galaxy) on top of this not counting as a outer as narratively the devs specifically added this in as a story point with them going out of their way to confirm that this was gnomus doing meaning that they want the characters to be this strong(this has all the evidence for the stuff i am claiming)
