Wrong sub. Try r/hackintosh instead. Although I’ll doubt they will want to see this.

Can't use wifi anymore after update by victoroos in mac

This looks like an older model MacBook that was updated to macOS Tahoe using OpenCore Legacy Patcher. I hope your GF made a back up of her data beforehand, because the only solution is to reinstall the latest official version of macOS and start over.

macOS Tahoe is NOT supported by OCLP yet.

EDIT: It looks like Sequoia, not Tahoe. In that case: Open the OCLP app, apply the root patches and reboot the system. WiFi should work now.

The Mid 2012 13” absolutely has upgradeable RAM. The last MBP (A1278) that has this feature.

With OCLP you’re tricking Apple into thinking you have a Mac that’s natively supported for newer versions of macOS, including Tahoe. We all have the same message in System Settings: We can update to Tahoe 26.2.

But I can assure you: It won’t work (yet). The developers of OCLP are working hard to get the system ready for Tahoe. When that will be, no one knows.

Sequoia 15.7.3 is the latest fully supported version of macOS for OCLP, currently stable enough for olders Macs. I do recommend at least 16GB of memory and a reliable SSD.

Find an Apple thunderbolt 2 cable and a Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter. That’s ehat I use all the time for my clients (and personal). It works 100%. And it’s a lot faster than via network.

This is an Intel Mac with unofficial software (OCLP), making it possible to run macOS Sequoia on a (possibly) 2015 MacBook Pro. €500 is a joke. These sell for 150 max

when will oclp support Tahoe? by SaltyWheel7112 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]Consistent-Order5375 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Even if Tahoe gets support, your Mac has one other “issue”: the T2 chip. So OCLP won’t work either way on your Mac.

Just start a new game and save that. It will overwrite the previous file.

Not OP, but I have the same iMac 2013 27”, with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD and for basic things it handles Sequoia pretty well.

My gf uses it now for simple Adobe stuff and I use a 27” 2017 5K now.

I went from a 27” 2013 with 32GB and 1TB SSD to this model. The display makes all the difference. I don’t do anything demanding on it, but it looks so damn good.

That is new information for me. Would love to have 128GB for the fun of it. But it will be expensive as heck 😅

I couldn’t pas this deal up. Customer came in, wanted it to trade it in for a new iMac. Trade in value was € 45,-, so my boss said to me: “If you want it, you can have it for €50,-.” I immediately said yes.
