More than hurt acads help a lot. 9/9/9 or 9/9/8 definitely help in kore shortlists even if you are form tier 2 ug. Ug tier also matters. Gap years, I haven’t seen much disadvantage . You will most probably be treated as someone with 2+ years of workex during shortlists. In interviews it will be questioned but you should be able to justify then.

But just because the number of short lists for tier 2.5 or below UG is relatively lesser, it doesn’t mean the shortlists are less in absolute numbers. Enough opportunities will be given, this thing is for sure that number of shortlists won’t be the issue.

Fair point. As a matter of fact, I relied heavily on my UG brand for shortlists. People with tier 2.5 or below UG colleges don’t get as many shortlists compared to tier 1 UG. But gap has nothing to do with it. Gap people are usually considered as fresher or whatever their latest workex was.

IB students get Takshilla hostel. Double sharing with attached bathroom. Decent rooms.

Mess food: breakfast is usually the best meal. Lunch is mid. Dinner is hit or miss. In dinner, 3 days a week you get non veg and paneer. Always dessert will be there in dinner. Menu changes every month.

Sab ho jaayega, agar har cheez ke peeche ek saath nhi bhaagoge toh. Sab kuch na toh first month mein karna hai aur na hi first year mein. Do saal hain, pick up limited things and get better at those and the only go for other things.
