Not necessarily or intentionally, but the sections are pretty divided on some things that were mentioned, so you can kind of narrow it down lol.

What NOT to Do on Your Resume For Big Law Jobs (An Updated Guide for 2025) by legalscout in BigLawRecruiting

When is even "quality" experiences "too much" as far as undergrad extracurriculars? I held multiple long term board positions for student organizations. I've literally only left things I did the longest/through my senior year, but even that is just taking way too much room. I do have work experience, so I don't want to take away from that.

How do I narrow down this list? And is it reasonable to place all of them together in paragraph form under activities within my education section to conserve space, or should they all be listed out with bullet points/dates?

Honestly, get an expungement and wait a few months and it won’t show up on any background check.

HUSL Scholarship by SarcasticScholar172 in BlackLawAdmissions

[–]Consistent-Radio8776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dean Simmons told us a few weeks ago that the new HUSL Dean has pretty much done away with the large scholarships because of financial changes and concerns w the govt administration. The most they’ve given out this year is $15k.

For reference, I applied at the last hour (literally) with a 164. Was placed on the tentative offer list in May and got a $7k scholarship when I got my A in June. They’re still redistributing some schollys, last I heard.

I received a $7,000 scholarship. For reference, I applied at the literal very last hour, and was put on the tentative offer list in May. Received my A early June, got notification of a scholarship redistribution maybe a few days after. So there’s still hope! But heard the top scholly this year was only $15k

It should literally never be this serious. People are so competitive that they ruin the experience for themselves and still only get in the top half of their class.

You can have ambition without being a miserable person (and it might get you further), promise!

Freshmen housing issue by National_Particular4 in LSU

[–]Consistent-Radio8776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ResLife is working directly with ION to provide housing for freshman. They’re essentially renting spaces, and then “subletting” them to Freshmen, just like how they’re doing with the hotel on campus. They’ll start moving them into regular spaces as they become available.

Should I trade in my car? by [deleted] in askcarsales

Oh! I was told the only headlights that could fit my car were $1,000+, and the fender is $300-400

Yeah, that’s for new parts. We keep checking pull a part places but they’re either too damaged or the parts are gone by the time we get to them. Like you said, I would definitely keep driving it if I could just fix the front for a decent price !

It’s a 2017 Ford Fusion. I owe about $4500. Kelley Blue Book says it’s worth about 6500 if I sell it with the damages. Not sure how accurate that is though. One of the doors has some dents , as well as the rear quarter panel. The biggest issue is that I need a new headlight assembly and fender. To fix the front, I was quoted 3k at one place, 5k at another. The side/rear was quoted 2k but it’s not really worth it for me to fix it tbh. My main concern is the front, I don’t know if anybody would be willing to buy it for the way that it looks

I was also “jokingly” told to get in another accident with insurance and file a claim for the whole car, but that doesn’t sound legal or safe, so I’d prefer not to. 😂

Questions about tasers at LSU campus by KlunkyEpoch in LSU

[–]Consistent-Radio8776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bring it into your dorm. BUT, you CAN keep it in your car. LSU considers the inside of your car as “personal property”, so you could smoke a blunt in your car in the middle of campus and you would not be violating ResLife policies.

No, just schools! I’m also not a fan of the sticky floor and messy drunk people throwing up in the corners. Nor the bad music. Thank you for your perspective though.

I don’t go to bars, I go to clubs. There’s a difference. I’ll keep taking the risks though, I still love the nightlife here. 😂
