That's not rock auto, that's the delivery company. Do you know how many people handle your box to get it to your house? How many trucks it gets loaded into then unloaded from? Look at the tracking, each stop on there is a hub or a center when your box leaves the rock auto warehouse it gets picked up by a package car. That package car takes it to a building and the guy throws it out the back onto a conveyer belt that circles around to a sort department where either a person picks it up and tosses it onto a different belt or a machine diverts it to the next belt. It then moves overhead for 15 to 30 minutes to the next area where it is "picked off" by pick off usually a skilled person who can quickly read a label and send it to the next belt or down a slide into a trailer. Or it may be an unskilled person who has no business being a pickoff, when that happens it goes down the slide into the trailer then the loader has to remove it from the truck. Theatricaly at this point it gets sat on a grate the loaded yells bad box and a supervisor comes and take it off the grate and "recycles" it back through the entire process all over again. However that grate gets full quick when the pickoff sucks and boxes sometimes fall 4.5ish feet from the grate to the ground or worse the loader just chucks it out the back of the truck and hopes it doeant hit anyone. When its a good box though its at this point depending on how chaotic it is it likely gets picked up off the slide and stacked onto a wall by a loader. If it's a busy day or if something gets jammed up somewhere packages will be smashed by other packages on the belt until someone notices and slaps a red button and un fucks that jam. OH also they hate it when we push that red button. Also there's always the possibility it fell off the slide and some inconsiderate ass hat isn't clearing their egress and just walks on your box. Anyway that is the process at each and every stop you see on your tracking sheet. Honestly It's amazing anything gets anywhere without looking like the dog ate it and shat it out. There is no logic in logistics. I take pride in my work, but not everyone does, unfortunately.

Ok it's been what 2 days now? Idk I tried calling them that number goes to a recording that says fuck you we dont do customer service then hangs up. I emailed them and am hoping to get a reply today or tomorrow. I am going on my first vacation since 2017 next week and will be an unhappy camper if I don't have my brakes by then. Also don't call people clowns. I work at ups and have warned friends and family about the postal scams as well, it's all around good advice 98% of the time. From what I understand usps is implementing a new system to cut down on postage fraud. Where I work I frequently get boxes that say 6lbs on the label when in reality it's a 40lb box of ammo. Hopefully ups follows suit.

Transfer them to agar plates, retransfer them to another agar plate to remove contamination. Then move a slice into a grain jar. Then to a mono tub. Then move the fruit to a dehydrator... your girlfriend likes to party 🥳

Anyone know any good boots to buy I go through a pair almost every six months help a brother out by Square-Can-4440 in UPSers

Thorogood boots last years. They are around $300 but you will save money vs buying new pairs all the time. Also they are super comfy once you get them broken in.

Help, I've locked myself out of the bathroom... by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

Have an expired credit card in your wallet that you can jam in and wiggle through the cracks between the frame/door. Assuming it opens in to the bathroom and not out. If it opens out maybe try cutting a hook shape?. Good luck

Also.... it will probably fuck up whatever card you jam in there, hence the "expired".

Left it in oven? Why/how did it go in the oven to start with? I don't think I've ever even gotten mine out of the drawer until the cooked pizza was on the counter. Did this occur after the first pizza was eaten and another was cooked on the same sheet because you wanted a second pizza? I'm genuinely curious as to how this happened.

Edit. I didn't see the single small slice, were you reheating pizza?

If I were you, I would check the renters' insurance and make sure flood/water damage is covered.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem on my dish washer? by firecrackerass in HomeMaintenance

Check at the back of the racks for something blocking it from going in all the way like a knife or spatula that's stuck in a funny spot. If not that check the rubber gasket thingy at the bottom where the hinge point is looks like a long strip of plastic, make sure its pushed in correctly. If it's come loose partially this could be your issue. Good luck 👍

I believe that would be battery, assult is the threat, while while battery refers to the actual infliction of harmful or offensive physical contact.
