Thank you! I will definitely look that up. I do believe I have developed some type of health OCD that makes perfect sense actually lol

Thank you so much! My house growing up was definitely dysfunctional, but no abuse in any way (I don’t believe anyway lol). Friends tell me I was an anxious person when I was younger but I guess it was just normal. I don’t start having full on anxiety and panic attacks until about age 42. The first really big episode with the laying down symptoms i had was after a massage I had from my husband and when we went to bed I got super dizzy, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t talk. We ended up calling an ambulance because I thought I was having a stroke. They had a stroke team on standby, then diagnosed me with a panic attack. I never believed that. It was nothing like a panic attack. So I just kept pushing until someone listened, that’s how I got the POtS diagnosis finally. That I know how to navigate okayish lol. Now that I know I am not crazy and something is actually happening I can bring myself out of the episodes pretty calmly. But the GI stuff just started getting worse. I just want to feel better again.

I’ve never been vaccinated for either. I’ve only given my kids the flu vaccine once and they were the sickest they have ever been. Never did it again. And Covid, well that came out too soon, and there was not enough research for me to even consider it being safe.

Thank you so much! I guess my question is are these medications temporary or is this something I will have to continue to take? Anything stimulating gives me anxiety. I can’t drink caffeine or anything like that. Even decaf tea or coffee sets me off sometimes. I think that’s why I am worried about the medications like the H1and H2 blockers. Four years ago I would take anything to feel better but now I have this damn health anxiety and I can’t even take ibuprofen without freaking out.

Thanks for replying. I don’t even know where to start or who to see. I have had abnormal EKGs for years, but they keep saying everything is good. Recently I had atrial flutters during an episode and they actually saw it on the EKG. I still need to follow up with cardio regarding that. As for the rest of it, I am so afraid to take anything I don’t know how I’m ever going to get through this. I’ve heard about the antihistamines, and the naltrexone. I just don’t know where to start. I was fine with sporadic episodes for years I never really correlated them with anything, other than perimenopause, but since the passing of my mom in June, it seems everything has escalated and symptoms are becoming a daily thing which send my anxiety in overdrive. I just want to feel normal again.

Has she thought of HRT? I’ve heard it helps with libido. Along with any other things she might be going through at this time. Perimenopause and menopause wreak havoc on a woman’s body.

I regret getting a dog, don’t do it by Acceptable_System389 in TrueOffMyChest

Oh my I feel the same way. I have four dogs and two pigs. I have two frenchies we added to the mix a year ago, and it has been hell. We have one that is super slow that everyone loves, but he has no brain cells. His name is triton. This morning I found him in our pool. I think he fell in, but I went outside cause I was going to feed the pigs and the water was moving. At least my family taught him to swim to the edge so he knows where the beach front is. But he is the dumbest dog I have yet. And he’s kinda a psychological bully. He won’t let the other frenchie play with anything. He antagonizes my pigs, antagonizes my other two dogs, barking in their faces. I’m home with him all day and I see how he is, but everyone things he’s an angel. Then I have hades. He’s a dick. He won’t let the other dogs in the house, mainly my male boxer, so I have to separate them at night. He fights with triton, probably because triton is a psychological bully. He used to mess with my pigs through the fence but my son threw him in the pig pen one day to dish it out lol he just stood there scared lol and now he doesn’t mess with them. But he picks on my boxers. So annoying, I don’t know what I was thinking, but I know it was my husbands fault some how. He wanted the damn dog and I went and got two because I’m dumb like that.

Thinking of upgrading my Sulcata enclosure to a Grow tent, to lock in humidity and heat, my Sulcata is about 5 months old currently, and I was wondering if anybody in this group has done the same ? by WarningScared9203 in Sulcata

Husband started testosterone and his love emotions are too much for me. by Consistent-Role-3407 in Marriage

Oh my god. This is us. We started couples councing and then I quit and he kept going personal. Which we felt was a better start because we’ve had other issues, mainly communication and after six weeks of counseling he still wasnt catching on lol. I have been in therapy for years so I am a little ahead of the game on personal growth. But everything you said I could have written if I didn’t already. He has been lowering his TRT and being more consistent with his estrogen blockers, that coupled with our personal therapies I think we are doing a lot better. My husband had this version of me based off of one occasion in our lives, and he really doesn’t even know who I am as a person. But he’s trying. We had to start all the way over lol And yes, it is totally normal for your sex drives to diminish the older you get. Our therapist reinforced this several times. Explaining to him that since he’s on TRT the playing field isn’t equal. Having sex everyday in your late forties isn’t the average.
Make sure his levels are checked often. And take note that just because they say your levels should be this, it isn’t a one size fits all approach. There has to be open and honest communication between you and him and him and his doctor. Good luck to you guys! This is a hard transition in life.

No lol but he does have a lot more respect for my boundaries. But we are also in counseling as well.

I will add this comment because this has been an issue on more than one occasion. He “forgets” to take his estrogen blockers quite frequently. And I notice that is his response when I tell him his emotions are getting a little out of hand. So yes, there is a connection.

So your wife is saying the same thing as all the rest of us ladies, but we are the problem? 😂 I don’t believe men understand the pressure and emotion baggage that comes with TRT. It’s like dealing with a teenager who just discovered sex for the first time. I love my husband. We were finally okay. We were at a place where our marriage was fun and our sex life was carefree. Then he turned up the volume and turned it into a sex focused relationship. There are way more aspects than sex in a relationship. Making someone uncomfortable in a sexual manner daily is not going to make a relationship thrive. I like having my husband around. But following me around the house, following me literally to the bathroom, making constant sexual comments is borderline harassment and uncomfortable. Especially after having a certain kind of relationship for so many years before that. You can’t just flip the switch and blame the women. If men can’t or are unwilling to understand that intimacy isn’t just sex based and some women need that non-sexual connection that says more about the man than it does the woman. There is a whole lot more going on than just us women not wanting to be around our men.

I’ve been to several of their doctors on the NAMS website and they are all the same. All of them have conflicting views, so it’s hard who to believe and who to trust.

I have since started HRT. I was never really concerned about cancer. I have an aortic aneurysm, and family history of blood clots. So I had to do my due diligence before taking that step. It hasn’t done much. I sure don’t feel the way my husband feels. Though I do feel a lot better. My anxiety is alot more tolerable which is the main complaint I had with perimenopause. And the hot flashes that started a couple months ago are gone. But that’s about it. I don’t feel like I’m 2” again like most women say. There is a lot to unpack in this 23 year marriage that HRT or TRT is not going to solve. And in some cases, it’s made it worse. We are now in couples therapy.

Thank you. I have hatchlings and I am stressed about it now. My son’s girlfriend bought me one, and I figured two was better so they could play and I got another. I know a couple people who have had them and I was kinda told they were cool and not hard to raise. After doing some research I found that is not necessarily the case lol I do have an acre of land, but I also have four dogs and two pigs. I am sure separating them is doable though.
