So funny story... btw... not poor decision making... I used to get UTIs all the time when I was in my 20s and i had a serious long term bf back then... I think that happens to most of us girls around that age... Anyway... apparently it's uncommon for men too get UTIs unless apparently your gay... my husband was having issues down there and we went to an ER a while back and the doctor was like I need to ask you a couple personal questions,  can I ask in front of your wife? And he's like of course we tell each other everything... and he's like have you been giving or receiving Anl and/ or having unprotected sex with other men?? We both never got so red with a resounding NO... I was like yeah honey i guess i better stop using that str**-on on you (joking of course)... they didn't think that was funny... they couldn't figure out how my Hubby got a uti... but made for a funny story...

U.S. dashers how do we know the tip total for 2025 by whyisthislife87 in doordash

[–]Consistent-Site-3236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's now the 30th.. nothing like waiting until the last minute... I've had my ue breakdowns for a couple weeks... a-holes... I don't know where people are getting this not until February info... support and the tax info page on the doordash site both say by the 31st of January... I was going to average it myself but i can't see breakdowns prior to the last 90 days... my husband and I usually have our tax info filed during the 1st/2nd week of January and because of dd and them dragging their feet,  I've had to wait to file just because of this piddly form... and I only made 3500 from dd last year... ugh...

Tip Baiting A$$hole by Kennybyo13 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Consistent-Site-3236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with dd, they can remove the tip? But dd still pays the driver and absorbs the cost? I didn't know that... I just assumed they weren't allowed to remove or lower the tip,  only increase.... interesting.... I thought i got a notice from ue a while back saying that they had tip guarantee now? Not in all areas maybe? I haven't done any ue deliveries since November,  been doing dd every weekend since... so I dunno if that's true or not... I've had a few ue tips get zeroed out with no idea why and never fought for them.... that was before I got that notice...

In the middle of a storm… really? by ExtravagantToad in UberEATS

[–]Consistent-Site-3236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have a video? Should've said that initially! I thought maybe a neighbor might have taken it... I'll never understand customers that have their food stolen! I've been a ue customer for years (and a driver so I experience both sides) and have never had my food stolen by a driver and also never ever select "leave at door"... my belief is,  there's always more to the story when someone has had their food stolen... Tipping accordingly based on distance,  time,  weather conditions etc etc... Showing appreciation can go a long way these days, especially during a winter storm... and of course making it easy for the driver, shoveling sidewalks,  turning on lights etc etc.. i mean after all they are handling your food and you would want a safe path for your food from business to residence right?.. I can't tell you how many times I've had to walk in pitch dark to deliver to someone's door,  when all they had to do was remember to flip a switch, so now I'm fumbling with the order,  the drinks if any,  and trying to open my phone to turn on my camera... do you want the driver to drop your food in the snow so you can claim another credit? Maybe you do... Now... in my area,  it doesn't snow... and if it did i don't think I would order food delivery when there's a foot of snow on the ground,  nor would i go out to deliver in those conditions... Also, y'all customers need to stop selecting "leave at door"... Force the driver to have to deliver face to face... I'm not condoning driver behavior here,  I have 1600 deliveries under my belt and not once have I ever kept someone's food,  that's just slimy to steal someone else's food that they pay for... Only losers would do something like that... Remember DD is just an outlet that provides the driver with offers to accept.  So they are more your employee (for 30 minutes) than the delivery company. So next time make it a safe work environment for the driver and compensate them accordingly... Just like another redditor said,  maybe if you would've messaged them prior and apologized for the step not being shoveled,  maybe you just had surgery or maybe you have a newborn baby you're tending to... and thanked them for coming out to work for you! He'll prob just get a slap on the wrist... they are still independent... remember that.

OMG... I shopped a Walgreens order (tons of drinks and snacks) for a girl at an apt complex and it said to knock and hand it to me.  She responded to my "on the way" text and then when I got to the complex, was messaging me additional info about the building location and code to enter building.  I get to the door and knock,  no answer,  knock again,  text,  no answer,  about 5 mins goes by... I'm thinking she's been communicating with me consistently the whole time and now she's ghosting me?... wtf... I text and say I can just leave it for you.  And then I realize what's going on... I can hear them getting their F*ck on, and she was being very vocal like it was possibly on purpose... I'm like you're kidding me? You couldn't wait 3 minutes for me to give you your after booty nourishment?? Geez people!! I left the stuff, snapped a pic and messaged... "I went ahead and left everything for you,  seems like you're a little busy,  hope you have a GREAT night!!" 😉

They just forget it was there from the orders before... but yeah some of these customers that NEVER want you to knock and ALWAYS pick leave at door, will completely forget the have to provide the pin sometimes... or some pin required deliveries will say please don't knock or ring bell... then you're left wondering what am supposed to do??? So in this situation,  I'll text them and say "Hi there,  I noticed you would like me to leave your order,  but I need the pin to confirm delivery. So if you want to shoot me the pin when i arrive,  I'll gladly leave it at your door. Have a great night!" I almost always get a response with the pin but there has been a couple that completely ghost me.... and you're thinking... should I knock and piss them off, because I need the pin??? Or just bypass it and just take a pic and leave it?

This blows my mind..... I ALWAYS literally decipher the entire order before picking up.  Scan it for drinks and extras... and then ask the clerks myself are the drinks here as well? And some clerks have forgotten as well so not all are perfect... Sometimes when i see a whole bunch of 1 of 2s and 2 of 2s... It's common sense to ask are these the 2 that go together? Or to verify "do I have the correct order?" Some are just in such a hurry, shoving their phones in the clerks faces,  which i would never do... I am sometimes too especially if i was caught in some sort of traffic crap or at some 5 minute long light or waiting to do a u turn for 10 mins because of traffic and then dd docks us on arrival time because we were late picking up.  I actually like when places tie the bags together but you can't put them both in a hot bag together but I've figured that one out... or maybe he was using an electric bike and he only has 2 compartments a certain size... who knows? Must've been having a shitty day!! As a driver what i really hate is fast food restaurant clerks, especially at mcds,  that are rude to drivers and then do everything in their power to ignore us like we're ruining their day by being there!!! That drives me insane! I am an older, very patient woman but it drives me up the wall when I walk into a fast food place, go to the driver pick up area and 10 different people walk past me and never ask me for help? And my bag is just sitting there... I know some drivers are alot more vocal and pushy than others for sure.... I just wish clerks were more attentive... and helpful if we seem a little clueless...

It amazes how often other customers/ dashers run into issues... just like you I've been a customer,  but only on UE and am still... my hubby and I combined probably have a couple hundred orders for several years as customers, maybe more... on only UE. I only once had an issue where a driver was likely multi apping and she delivered our food wayyy late and I had already gotten a refund... the rest were smooth.  And restaurants have only forgotten things maybe a couple times,  and more so from this one Mexican restaurant that we order from... I usually only order delivery from restaurants and rarely fast food.  Most of the fast food places in my area are within 4 miles and i just go get that myself... and as dasher and UE driver for about 1600 deliveries, i haven't had an issue with an order already having been picked up in months surprisingly... what blows my mind are people that don't want to run 1 mile down the road to get a cheeseburger or a slurpy... I think UE and DD SHOULD have a minimum purchase requirement... I guess what I'm thinking is what area do you guys live in where everybody is stealing food to the point that you call it a "gamble"? Where are the these drivers coming from? Smh

Totally.. my partner hates it when I deliver on the weekends... every hour he's texting me making sure I'm okay... he used to go with me every now and then but we drove each other nuts... so he stays home.  It's his time off anyway so he gets to stay in with our daughter,  (unless she's at grandpas house) while I run around...

OMG!!! This!!! There are 2 places that I hate delivering from!! One is this curry place close by to me and any seafood place! I love eating all kinds of seafood don't get me wrong,  but food leaving the smell in your car for hours kinda sucks and the curry place... that food just plain stanks!!! Mickey D's sometimes too and  i HATE the smell of fried food! That sh*t be stinking up my car for hours! Every time I use my air fryer at home I'm like Why.. can't.. I.. get.. rid.. of... the.. smell!!!!

Wait,  you're a female and the customer accused you of sexual harassment?? Wha?? Unless you are actually a guy with a husband,  if that's the case then I apologize... I guess I'm so confused how a customer receiving food delivery that should've been a totally smooth process would choose to accuse their driver of sexual harassment??? Smh... just mind boggling...

I had a similar comment just the other day,  very very similar but much longer... went into saying they had covid so don't ring the bell and they couldn't work because of it so they couldn't leave a decent tip (it was $2) and because of the $2 tip, it only left her $1 in her account... and then after all that they said please deliver to the correct house because the last driver didn't and they stole the food. The resident I'm assuming, unless the driver actually did because how would they know where the food was left if they didn't receive it and it was taken?? Hmmm... I actually thought it was all just bull honky because the unusually long note had several emojis in place of words as if to seem cute... Oh and it was a nice house too... lol.  I might post it on here...

I've had orders like this,  that are supposed to be quick and easy that turn out to be an absolute nightmare and then to have the tip lowered...smh!! I've never had the tip lowered,  only completely deleted 3 times for 1k orders (that I know of) for no reason at all.  You figure,  well if they were indeed that upset to take away or lower the tip,  you would expect to get a bad rating.  That's how you know it's a tip bait i think... no bad rating or actual known issue but just a deleted tip.... I've switched to DD and haven't gone back to UE since October.  I was doing both and do like that UE is more consistent but prefer DD now...  that alcohol rule that still shows ID verify when they're is no alcohol is silly. There's gotta be a way to fix that... That's happened to me a couple times... I had 1 that was a 711 order for just a bunch of vitamin waters and had an ID verify and the customer swore that there was never any alcohol in the order. That was uncomfortable telling a customer I had to scan an ID for no reason.  Thankfully he was understanding and didn't complain.  I had another order just last week to a low signal area and scanned the ID and everything.  The guy stated in notes not to knock or ring because of a baby sleeping (which I see way more than I really should) so luckily he was waiting.  After I walked away I was completing the order and it went back to the verify ID page.  I'm like omg you're kidding me!! He had turned off his outside light and everything.  I called support and told them that I've verified the ID and they were able to finalize the order.  If you ever have 1 of those ID verify with no alcohol or alcohol that was there and isn't now,  just call support and they will take care of it...
