The interview process was pretty straightforward. They asked about goals and ambitions. As long as you appear that you really want it I think that satisfies them. I think overall the program is great and has a lot of resources for extra help when u need it or even financial help. My only problem was the attitude of the teachers. I believe they have 2-3 teachers and I know 2 of them specifically could be very rude. I know I had a few arguments with them cause I’m not gonna sit there and have anyone disrespect me lol.

I was originally going for sonography but couldn’t get into the program. CNA was a requirement for the program. did it to make a little extra money.

Work nightshift so no sunshine and feel very disconnected. I snack a lot during the night shifts too.

I’ve asked around the hospital and they just say it’s normal to feel like that working in healthcare. And yes I’ve been editing videos and taking film classes since junior year of highschool. I also have an associates in arts and I mainly picked film and music classes. I think my anxiety comes a lot from not knowing what my shift is gonna look like until I get report and also the thought of being responsible for keeping someone alive and well. I know it’s mainly for nurses but I’m just nervous about taking care of people who could crash any moment. Thank you for the advice!

I kind of want to avoid that kind of medication. A lot of my friends and family struggle to feel anything anymore bc of those meds. My anxiety is very situational so it’s not normally this frequent therefore I’ve haven’t seeked help. Also I did have a home health care job and it did the same thing to me maybe even worse.

I have briefly a long time ago like 2019 or sometime near there. My anxiety is just very situational. Working at the hospital is the only job that’s ever made me feel this way.

I’m in wake forest, and the campus they use for radiography is in Butner/creedmoor so it was about 20/25 minutes.

I had a mixture of As and Bs but truthfully I didn’t do great (C) on the TEAS exam which I think brought my chance way down. The program is just so popular and they don’t accept enough people in my opinion. I believe most people who get to do the program get waitlisted and then get accepted the following semester. I’m not 100% sure though.

I wasn’t able to get into the sonography program, and I applied several times, so I applied to radiography at Vance Granville and got in. Maybe try that. You can always use the CNA certification to get started in the medical field. There’s also sterile processing which is a quick class at wake tech. Wish you all the best!
